Are you kidding me? What were we just talking about at the top of the page then?

This thread has gone downhill.

I think this makes up for the trouble you guys have had with any Windows OS: http://www.gatesfoundation.org/Pages/home.aspx

Maybe a bit more.

Yes, the Gates foundation's work does a great deal of good around the world. What's cool about their charity is that they do work all over the spectrum.

Bill Gates might be in the song, but this is still getting a bit off-topic. Let's work on that, fellas! ^ _ ^ v

Just a little question: Why does the thread need to stay on-topic?

1) If someone wants to discuss something related to "the topic" or raise a question related to "the topic," they'll do it. Then the thread is back "on topic." Otherwise, the thread will continue on its natural course.
2) The derailment of a thread is generally not enough (like this one) to justify the creation of another topic for it. In the end, discussion in silenced in order for the thread to be more topical - something which no one seems to care about right about now. But when the next person has something they want to bring up, they will, and the thread becomes topical again!
3) Conclusion: The invisible hand of the forum allows poster forces to self-regulate threads.

I think that discussing possible reasons for Bill Gates and Bin Laden to be mentioned in the same sentence of the song is viable, but comparing Windows to other OSs is not.

That said, the two were probably just on the news back during the time he's singing about.

Bill Gates is both a badass and a humanitarian, I dont' get how he can be lumped together with Bin Laden. Somebody help me figure this out.

Why don't you post the lyrics that you have completed to see if any one can help and give a meaning.

Or maybe it's just one of those things. Bin Laden
Bill Gates

Maybe in japan bill gates kind of would sound like bin laden? bir gatesn?Or maybe it's just to names that have a same meaning.

Obama
Osama

Perhaps Sawao is simply contrasting who he sees as the best and worst of the world? I don't know, only way I could see it really making sense.

It'd make more sense if he said like "Ghandi mo Bin Laden mo" or "Bono mo Hitler mo."

I kid with that second one. Sort of.
For the record, the song mentions TOOMU YOOKU, KIMU DIIRU, BIRU GEETSU, and RANBIDIN/BINRADIN.
Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Kim Deal (The Breeders, Pixies), Bill Gates, Bin laden.
