Kyouto Taisakusen was great. Chatmonchy and GO!GO!7188 also put on great shows, but Ellegarden was by far the best act there. As opposed to all the other bands who did like 6 songs, Elle got to do 11.

Nah, I didn't see anybody from any of the bands playing other than when they were on the stage. I think they had their own tents and stuff set up behind the stage where they chilled and stuff. He didn't mention anything much about the hiatus at all that I can remember (I don't remember any of the MCs, just wrote down the setlist, which I would have forgotten otherwise), probably because he's already answered any possible question people could have about it and more in the huge Rockin on Japan interview, but the last thing he said was "Thanks Kyoto, let's meet again!"

I was reading through this thread again and I've got to say, I'm pleasantly surprised by the amount of Ellegarden fans in here. I started listening to them after SYNCHRONIZED ROCKERS, and the news of this hiatus was disappointing for sure.

Mare, I wish I could be at some of these concerts. Sounds like another great show.

The news of the hiatus is indeed disappointing, but if you're stateside, it's only disappointing in that it means no new material is going to be released this year. It's going to be worse for the Japanese fans because Ellegarden usually does shows year-round, but they're going to stop all shows after the stuff they have planned through September until they're done with the hiatus.

Either way, we're all glad it's not a breakup.

I know, right? I've been getting more and more into them lately. I'm the type of person that starts to get irritated when they have to wait more than 2 or 3 months before a new release, or at least news of a new release... so I've been very irritated as of late.

Even without an Ellegarden release to look forward to, new Art-School, Plus-Minus, lostage, and Zazen should help tide me over for the Fall.

I've been listening to Fishmans recently, but I doubt their greatest hits will tide me over for long.

I reckon I am gonna get trolled for this but...

any one else a fan?
