The times you cried when listening to the pillows...
There are hardly ever any times that I cry when listening to music (strangely enough, listening to music is probably the only time I ever cry), but since I started listening to the pillows, I've shed my share of tears. I still remember the first time I cried when listening to their music:
I was on the bus, and I had just recently heard Ride on Shooting Star on FLCL, and I liked it. So I downloaded Ride on Shooting Star & Hybrid Rainbow from Gendou's Anime music. So yeah, anyways, I was listening to Hybrid Rainbow and I suddenly realized when I got to the solo (and just for this to make sense, I'm gonna' tell you that I had almost been totally into classical music up til' this time), that from all of the classical pieces of music that I had listened to up to that point - I realized that they hadn't been able to convey emotion quite the same as the song I was listening to. I kind of tried to reject that idea, because Beethoven, Brahms, Liszt, and Chopin, etc... they all carry some much emotion in their music... and here I was being tamed by a rather simple rock ballad. Those feelings, coupled with the love I felt from hearing Sawao shout "Can you feel!!!!!!!!!!????111111" at the top of his lungs (including the fact that it was the chorus after the guitar solo, which is especially powerful with Sawao going all falsetto and shit), caused me to almost burst out crying. My friend that was sitting next to me asked what was wrong with me, and I just said nothing. By the time the song had reached the end, I fucking replayed that shit all the way until I got to school. And that's how I got into the pillows.
The next major time was when I was listening to Last Dinosaur... this was probably about 1 year and a few months ago. By this time, I had my hands on the FLCL soundtrack (#3), and I loved it. I thought that it was the best thing ever; Last Dinosaur was like complete perfection to me... I listened to that shit so many times in a row that I had to cry just from the sheer awesomeness (needless to say I am now burned out on the damn song and hardly ever listen to it anymore).
The most important time in my life however, when I cried the hardest, openly in front of my family, was when I had just gotten my copy of the Scarecrow single. This will probably make Scarecrow one of my favorites of all time... I had seen part of the PV and liked what I saw, so I bought the single off of cdjapan. In my room I must of listened to scarecrow for hours on end before I finally moved on to Boys be Locksmith (which is a really awesome b-side). The one fucking line I love the most is "Hitori janai... Hitori JANAIIII!!" I don't even fucking know what it means (I looked it up once, but forgot, and now I don't even want to know what it means because it just sounds so awesome when I don't understand the meaning), I fucking cry when I hear that fucking shit. It's just too damn good for words... it's like, better than any possible experiences I can possibly have (other than seeing Sawao sing it live) listening to music. And the guitar solo... If I could tell you how much emotion I felt during the middle section of that guitar solo (when Manabe starts bending the shit out of the notes, holding them after the chord progression has already shifted under wailing guitar), then we would all become Gods and live forever.
Yeah, I respect Scarecrow and it will always have a place in my heart for what it made me feel upon my first few listens. Anyways, that's enough crying for now.

I'm a heartless bastard. And hitori janai means "not alone." Mare can probably conjugate it better though.

Not to the song alone, but a couple times I got misty to the end of the scarecrow video. And the ending of Cowboy Bebop made me cry FULL-BLOWN... TWICE. I watched again YEARS later and BAAAWWWWWED. I think Eureka Seven did me in a couple times, too, but when it comes to any pillows songs, I can't really think of that many instances.

I enjoy listening to the pillows more than doing anything else, but I don't think they've ever made me cry.

Re: The times you cried when listening to the pillows...
He is swearing because he is very serious, and I don't see how it's funny. I usually only swear when I feel very strongly about something... the pillows, for example.

Re: The times you cried when listening to the pillows...
That's ironic, because swearing is the easiest way to not be taken seriously. Seriously.

I've shed tears while listening to White Summer And Green Bicycle, Red Hair With Black Guitar, Bran New Love Song, and Swanky Street. Those songs are so emotional
