Central Anime is releasing DVD quality fansubs of the 80s anime series Touch! This is exciting to me, because I've wanted to see it for a long time, but the downloads eluded me.

I enjoyed Noir too - don't hold your breath for Madlax though. I've read a bunch of reviews, and it seems like it's a lot like Noir...just a lot weaker on all levels.

Madlax: "The story revolves around two young women who seemingly have little in common and do not know of the other's existence, at first."

Noir: "The series follows the story of two young female assassins who embark together on a personal journey to seek answers about mysteries from their past. While at first they seem to be only vaguely related to each other, there are clues and hints given throughout the series that there are more than meets their eyes."

Now Madlax is supposed to be the "spiritual successor" to Noir, the second in a trilogy of series that explore the whole girls-with-guns thing. So at least the production studio is admitting its just rehashing its stuff over and over again.

So yeah. Give it a shot, but I doubt you'll be as enthralled with it as you were with Noir. However, with Yuki Kajiura doing the music...it should have a decent soundtrack at least.

I've started watching...One Piece :rain cloud of supreme sadness:

It's surprisingly not that bad in Japanese...although I haven't heard how bad the Japanese Sanji's voice is yet. BAHAHAHA! OHhhhh GOD, who would ever let someone speak like that on the dub?! :rips out hair:

Don't know if you guys dig Evangelion as much as I do, but I felt like posting it here anyway. Besides FLCL, it was the only anime I really cared for, and it had been a very long time since I last heard anything new about it. However, I managed to find today a nice link for the first of the three movies of the "Rebuild of Evangelion" series, properly subbed by this fansub:

http://getfansub.com/wiki/Evangelion_Sh ... Evangelion

I've just watched it; and it was awesome. I mean, it's the second time (see the Evangelion:Death movie) they've remade the series, changing a couple scenes, adding extra plot and CG sections, but that's the thing: it never ceases to impress me. Even after watching the entire series over and over again (yeah, I used to be the sickest EVA-fanboy ever), it felt like everything was totally new. Besides that, the new Shiro Sagisu's soundtrack (perfect, as always) and some minor changes, this movie gave a completely new feel to the EVA franchise, and I'm totally looking forward for the next two, regardless of knowing the entire story. :D

"El Cazador De La Bruja" man

the 2007 3rd series of the bee train saga,i watched it,it's cool takes place in mexico, not france or something like the other ones[then again im mexican, but it doesnt mean i like it because of that]

unlike madlax and noir it was..umm less darker,in fact it has some slight comedy in there,it's a fair anime, i really liked it. and i saw madlax,i just didnt shoot the last 5 episodes or something

noir >2001
madlax> 2004
el cazador de la bruja> 2007

guess will have to wait for 2010,perhaps will see something better than noir, that would be awesome, let's cross our fingers that moshimo will produce like it's his job! :]

I enjoyed N.G.E. . I have yet, though, to see any of the movies that were made after the final episode. Other series include: Beck: MCS, Paranoia Agent, Initial D, Wangan Midnight, those are all that come to mind at the moment.

Just found some old CDs of mine full of random anime videos and then remembered that Colorful is hands down the funniest anime I've ever seen in my fucking entire life.

Unfortunately, these are the only videos I could find on YouTube. Hope you guys can read Spanish or French (in case you don't understand Japanese):

I just finished Gundam Seed (known affectionately as Bawlfest).....I feel like there's something I should be doing right now after enduring that derivative, confusing, retarded, sorry excuse for a Gundam series.....

I think they have the same English VA.

And yeah, Both Light and Lelouch are jerk douchebags, but at least Lelouch actually cares for others.

Recently downloaded Mahoromatic, RahXephon, and a bit of Captain Harlock. Will be gradually watching these (or not so gradually, depending on how intense Rah gets).
