Post Re: PIED PIPER upload
I could give a shot at upping the DVD as an avi at work tomorrow.

Yeah, the cello in Last Holiday is WAY too quiet, on three of the four stereos I've listened to it on so far (so-so work speakers, bar car stereo, pretty okay car stereo) it was hardly audible over the other instruments. In some f'd up way that actually makes me appreciate it even more, though. Greatass song.

It never really had any essential melodic lines... it's was there to help accompany and give atmosphere, as far as I can tell.

Knowing the pillows, they won't have the cellist play live with them in any of their shows. >:[

Don't know why they wouldn't. they deffinately should.

On AKFG's 2nd DVD, when they play Kaigan Dori with the orchestra in the back it is freakin' epic.

I know, I was just joking about how the pillows have let me down in that past.

I jest, I jest.

I hope they do, otherwise I'll be pissed off... I mean the cellist live would be awesome! They better has the horn section for Tokyo Bambi as well!

Jun tears it up this album, good stuff :shred:

It's disappointing that almost all the backup singing/chanting on the album is just Sawao's voice thrown on top of itself a few times except for the one big one towards the end of no surrender

ya, im thinking there's very little chance of any guest musicians whatsoever. In any lives i've seen of songs whos studio versions involve anything but there voices, two guitars, a base and drums they just make do with what they've got or play whatever effects are necessary through the speakers. For finger post of magic it was all of the band singing (including sato :0), for tokyo bambi the horns were, if i remember correctly, simply played through the speakers (or however they do that kinda stuff), etc.

plus, with sawao's stated focus on just busting out some sweet live rock and roll for us to hear it doesn't seem like he's to interested in performing any sort of epic songs alongside an orchestra, splendid as that would be.

that said, doesn't hurt to cross your fingers. unless your finger bones are jacked up or something. or you lost them to a table-saw and the mere mention of your lost comrades pulls a blanket of depression over the sun....

completely unrelated rant: For some reason pepsi REALLY seems to want their pepsi NEX to sell well over here, cause they keep releasing new sets of dangleys and the like (ya know the little packages attached to the neck of the bottle). And by that i mean they're doing so way more frequently than any other line of soda, and have been doing so for many months. Up until now this hasn't persuaded me to buy that retched soda. Then came today , when they started tagging these sweet star wars bearbricks on in commemoration of star wars celebration japan. I'm not really that into the whole bearbrick thing (i mean sure i've got a pillows one) but now they've got 16 different star wars ones to bamboozle me into poisoning my throat. baw.

That would be awesome Sonic! I don't want to push my luck, but do you have the New Animal PV as well?

LOL, you are wrong friend.

Dohatsuten did the back up vocals in Finger-Post of Magic AND Purple Apple.

In Tokyo Bambi, they used the actual horn section for the Ska Paradise Orchestra.

Neither have been played live in Japan to date (that I know of), so whether or not they will use guest musicians is yet to be seen.

But when have they played those songs live?

I've only heard of Tokyo Bambi being played live in Seattle... have they been performing it live in Japan?

Considering they've had a lot of shows in between its release and now in Japan, yes. I've definitely heard of Bambi getting played at concerts since like I dunno, before its release, lol. No clue on the other ones.

I wish they would use guest musicians...

It would be awesome to have live vocals/instruments instead of some pre-recorded stuff. It worked out with TYMT, but that was electronic to begin with.

1.Voice
2.ROCK'N'ROLL SINNERS

3.フロンティアーズ
4.Wake up! dodo

5.Tokyo Bambi
6.Ladybird girl
7.Go! Go! Jupiter

8.New Animal
9.Finger post of magic
10.Mr.Droopy
11.LITTLE BUSTERS

(EN)
12.ハイブリッド レインボウ

i'm a bit hazy but i seem to remember 2 and 3 being the other way around... maybe...

and ya, if i'm not mis-remembering that's the second time i've seen tokyo bambi live, so ya, they've been playing it live for a while...
