http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/ja/d/ Well, looks like PIED PIPER hit #5 on Oricon, one below Wake Up! x3, which hit #4 on its release... Also, LOL at a Final Fantasy XI OST being #8.

Re: PIED PIPER upload
I know, I just couldn't resist due to the irony. This album is definitely better.
chorus: Dohatsuten (Purple Apple)
Figured as much. I was thinking that they were also on No Surrender but wow. I guess that means the people on No Surrender are Manabe, Shin, and Jun.
No Sato vocals, that'd be the Finger Post guys actually attempting to sing instead of shout stuff out like morons.
hahaha

Re: PIED PIPER upload
HOLY P00P. This is a great leap forward for the Pillows.
I finally got around to listening to it and...wow. This blows Wake Upx3 out of the freakin water.
I really liked the title track. Ridiculously catchy chorus, although the intro was really out of place.
I disliked New Animal at first, but it really grew on me a lot.
No Surrender was absolutely amazing. The first thing I could think was, "GANG VOCALS!? IN A PILLOWS SONG!?" The drumming was also really different, for a pillows song. Reminds me kinda of Freebee Honey mixed with (Call me crazy) Bakuon Drop.
Last Holiday was realllly beautiful. Definitely Bokura no Hallie Susei feel going on, combined with Bran-new Lovesong. I'm so glad we're finally hearing some emotional vocals from Sawao again, instead of straight up cold pop-rock.
Tokyo Zombie was a pretty good instrumental, definitely the best they've made in since Thunder Whales Picnic.
Across The Metropolis was good. Nothing too spectacular, but good.
Purple Apple was kinda boring to me, seemed empty for some reason.
Tokyo Bambi was greatt. Ridiculously catchy. Even my girlfriend enjoyed it, and she usually hates whatever we're listening to in my car. I only listened to it like, twice, when the single came out, but when I heard it again yesterday, it felt as if I had been listening to it for a long time. I could clearly remember all the melodic hooks and riffs and stuff. That's pretty amazing, considering the last time I listened to the song was a couple months ago.
Ladybird Girl was alright. I've heard it a lot before, but it's an okay song. The verses are awfully boring, but I really enjoyed Manabe's main riff and the chorus.
Haven't really listened to the last two songs yet, the battery on my zune died. D: but overall, I'd say this is EASILY the best thing they've produced since TYMT. The album, as a whole, sounds way different from the Pillows usual formula. A lot of the songs sound, well, not Pillows-ish. If you played that slow part of Tokyo Zombie for me before I knew it was the Pillows, I would have never guessed it was them. But that's a good thing. That means they're experimenting once again, finally breaking out of this poppy style. They have redeemed themselves in my eyes, and I'm really enjoying the new direction they're heading, it's harder and more raw sounding, rather than over-produced pop rock like Wake Upx3.
Overall, 8/10 from me.

Re: PIED PIPER upload
Am I the only one that noticed Juns bass in the background of the Pied Piper intro?

Re: PIED PIPER upload
So I was wondering if the pillows would recapture my attention after the drowsiness I felt for Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!. My verdict after one listen: maybe. Thus far I've sensed a few sparks between us here and there, more than enough to keep it around for awhile until I get a better feel for it, but not enough to immediately floor me. I'll spin it a few more times and see what happens, and if I'm inspired enough hopefully I'll have some insightful comments to add.
First I have to tear myself away from the new NICHIKA album, though...

Re: PIED PIPER upload
I heard last holiday couple minutes ago . Thanks to Lostman. I was searching for it on soul seek for about an hour. And it turned out Lostman had it. It's a really nice song. I'll download 1 or 2 more songs. Thne i'll stop and wait until I hopefully buy the album. That's why I do with most of the pillows songs <.< I have most of the songs from all the albums except atleast one or two. Example. In thank you my twilight. I have all of them but Winona. Which kind of sucks because winona is a good song. Or so i've heard >.< The old songs are a bit hard to get.

Re: PIED PIPER upload
Why the hell would you be searching for it on soulseek if I've got it uploaded right there on the first page of this thread? You can just download that.

Oh yeah, and terra, you're two posts away from a custom title! lolz
