Newer J-Bands Anyone?
So, I'm not a big fan of indie music due to the usual lack of quality however lately, because of modern technology, it's become easier for newer bands to become famous. So I'm here to ask all, other than the usual bands mentioned on this website (such as Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Number Girl, Ellegarden, etc.), what are some totally awesome bands that haven't hit the limelight quite yet. (BTW, I know that the bands I just listed are pro so no need to fyi) I myself have a list of a couple bands that sound pretty awesome, but aren't there yet: 1. Ling Tosite Sigure (Very original ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLvT4jUoM1E2. Buddhiston (Very Generic ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ARzTBTzqAkIf you have/know anything by Ling Tosite Sigure, please let know because I haven't been able to find anything! I'm here to ask, what are some totally awesome bands?

Bloodthirsty Butchers Zazen Boys/Number Girl Ging Nang BOYZ/Going Steady Penpals Luminous Orange Cornelius Sparta Locals etc.
Some aren't new/indie, but they're definitely worth looking up.
2. Buddhiston (Very Generic )
I'm so fucking tired of bands being called generic just because they don't do some annoying/experimental crap/both.

The point of the thread was newer bands that people don't really know, I thought.

Well, he's a newer member, so I was just going over pure gold which we all knew already because I wasn't sure if he was aware of 'em.

Re: Newer J-Bands Anyone?
The only band on that list that matched what he was asking for (i.e. was either really new or hadn't really "made it" yet) is Luminous Orange (don't even know Cornelius, they might be that way too), the rest have been around forever and/or have solid success. Not that those are bad bands.

I know. I said most of 'em weren't new/indie.

Haha, I know. It's just that it's kind of like me asking what tv shows are good and you start recommending movies.

Re: Newer J-Bands Anyone?
Well, if it's good, it's good. I wouldn't really mind unless if I specifically wanted to spend hours on end getting caught up in a T.V. show as opposed to an hour and a half for a movie...Speaking of which, when I stayed at my sister's friend's place for a day, I watched the first season of Dead Like Me. Good show. But to get back on topic, here's Cornelius' latest album Sensuous. He's a lot like Beck, and I'm pretty sure at least someone will dig it: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=wz2rx3jw

Re: Newer J-Bands Anyone?
Wow, I'm so glad i made this post! These bands are totally rocking. By the way, I know most of these like sparta locals (not indie) and cornelius (don't think he's indie). Either way, anyone else?
Fyi, just cause i'm a new member doesn't mean i haven't been listening to j-bands for years and years...
