Oh man, I want this game. But I don't have a PS3.

I'm going to have a PS3 by time it's out (the original 60gb model that has hardware backwards compatibility). I can't wait.

Games simply do [i]not [/i]get better than the MGS titles. The amount of love, awesomeness and sheer detail put into the production is staggering every time I go back and play them, especially 3.

Sony is selling a PS3 bundle WITH Metal Gear Solid 4 (80GB...this is backwards compatible)

I hopefully will have a PS3 by then. Looks pretty good. But I'm mainly wanting to get a PS3 for GT5.

The only way it will come out for Xbox is if Microsoft actually goes through with a Blu-ray add on. Because Kojima-san has stated numerous times he needs every bit of space on a Blu-Ray disc.

MGS4 looks like it will be a PS3 exclusive. If it does come out for Xbox, it will come out probably months or years afterwards.

And I would be really surprised if it doesn't come out on 360 when the "Substance" or whatever edition comes out sometime down the line. There is [i]no [/i]way the game takes up a full 50gb BD, unless they seriously decided to not compress anything just to say "look at how big our e-peen is."

Seriously, there are going to be morons who will pay out the ass for it regardless of whether or not I get in on it, so what's the harm? It is such a [i]hilariously [/i]easy way to make a few bucks. And people aren't getting ripped off with eBay, a lot of auctions start the price below the face value, it's those morons who push it up to incredible heights, not me. It's not like people are being forced into bidding on ebay to crazy heights, they're choosing to bid to a point they're comfortable with.

They're in short supply anyway so it's likely I won't get one.

I don't care about Metal Gear or stuff like that, but there are people who do that shit with concert tickets, game tickets, band merchandise, and limited edition cds and such; they buy simply to make a profit. It's called scalping, and it's an advanced form of assholery.

If you know they are in limited supplies and yet you are just planning on buying it just to make profit then don't even bother buying one.
It's easy money to swindle people into buying it. Seeing as there aren't any left to buy. So you'll end up selling it for more then it should be worth.

For example FF7 that game goes for 100$ at ebay. Seriously! It's a good game. But not worth 100$. The only reason people raised the price was for the people who are either getting into gaming or are getting into the FF series. And seeing as it's a great RPG then they have to make the price go up!! I can buy FF7 for like 10$ NEW at some small store near my house. I don't because i don't want have any interest in it at the moment. And instead of selling it to someone at a higher price. I'd just leave it there for someone who actually wants it.

I want to buy MGS4. That's one of the reasons why i bought a ps3
I am replaying all the MGS games to familiarise myself with it. I am currently playing the first one still I passed it on the NES. But decided to download a MSX emulator with the game. And it's way different then the NES version. The thing is that i don't own a PS2 so i can't get MGS3. If i remember correctly it's just a Prelude to The first one? Is it really a big deal if i skip it? And then there is the portable ops one. I don't have a psp so i'll miss that to. Other then that. I have the other MGS games.

Again, it's the people on eBay who push the price up past the face value.
