I have the Advance game, and although I haven't played it myself, I can say I think the story is really great, but sad, from what I've seen. I really hate it when even from behind, you only have about an 84% hit rate, which in FFT terms might as well be a damn 50/50 shot. My brother is SOOOOOO original, he named his clan "Clan Nutbuster." Those laws are complete bullshit sometimes, too. Monteblanc is a cool name for a moogle, though. (We have a Game Boy Player on the gamecube, I don't huddle behind to watch him play it on my DS, lol.) A nice plot, but an unfriendly combat system hurts it pretty badly.
So, How bout that FFT sequal being made for the DS? Hell yeah!

The hit rate from the front on the Advance version was pathetic and gay. Also learning abilities was retarded, you had to keep a fucking weapon on far past when it was obsolete.
Here's to hoping the sequel goes back to the roots and isn't shitty like the Advance one. Also, the Advance one's storyline isn't as good as the first one from what I saw of it.

It seemed like something straight outta Disney, except that in a weird way, Marche was actually the antagonist because he was the only one who wanted to go back home while the others wanted to stay inside the book. That seems like a sad struggle to me. I'm assuming you win and get to go home, but how can you feel good about that goal when it wasn't what the other children wanted in the first place? What do they get to go home to, a world where Mewt is picked on with a deceased mother, A world where Ritz has albinic hair, a world where Marche's own brother is handicapped and of poor health. Why does Marche have to push them back into all of that so quickly? Yes, they should go home, but it should come from everyone's realization of the farce and overall acceptance and satisfaction with it to let it go at their own pace. It's like they're on this fabulous vacation and Marche forces everyone to leave early with him so he can go on some big business deal back home. It's not fair and frankly hurtful that the person who has the least to lose by going back to the real world gets his way in that manner. Fuck you Marche, you all could've stayed for at least a month to say farewell. Unless time doesn't stop IRL and the distraught parents are losing hope every day, then it's a much harder pill to swallow, making Marche the unselfish one and the kids as the more selfish angle. It's sad, either way you look at it.
Yeah, it totally got Final Fantasy points in the reviews. That was some six out of ten gameplay, right there.

The story, while good, wasn't as interesting as the original one's. The tragedy with Delita, the confusion of who was with you and who was waiting to stab you in the back, the constantly changing objectives, the variety of interesting characters; in every way it was better than the Advance one. Not that the Advance one was really a bad game, it was just so disappointing to a huge fan of the original.
The music was really good, at least. XD

Have you played Tactics Ogre (which was what FFT's gameplay mechanics was based off of)? That's a pretty badass game.

I've never seen it anywhere, or I would have. Everybody's told me it was pretty good, but like I said, haven't ever found it.

You can emu dat stuff. While there'll be some frame rate issues and stuff it's a tactics game so it's not that big a deal.

For the SNES version? I don't.
But I do have the ISO for the PSX emu. Also note that I've got dial-up.

Note: You can get practically any PSX iso at Zophar's.
Has anyone played Radical Dreamers? Over my Spring Break, I decided to replay it, but this time actually get every ending available. Good stuff, good stuff, but it was regrettable that you [SPOILERS] can't just get the frozen flame/kill Lynx and leave. Nevertheless, it's definitely a very fun game, and it really makes me want to write a text adventure, kind of like the "Reader Beware You Choose The Scare" Goosebumps. That would be pwn.

Console RPG's would be awesome if you didn't have to...like...play them.
Then again, I guess what I'm talking about are what they call "movies."

You may be up-to-date on Japanese artists, but you're not up-to-date when it comes to games.

It's already pre-patched so you should be able to play right away.

I got about four endings and quit. I've been planning to play it again as soon as I mod my Xbox.
Good game, great soundtrack. Protip: play it at night
