N.H.K. has some crappy animation sometimes but the book is good. And I love the manga.

In all honesty, I thought Paprika was more of a style over substance thing. Yes, it's "trippy" and maybe one could argue that it's..."deep"...well. Nah.
I would have liked it more if I saw it in theaters, but for the most part I thought it was just needlessly complex, withholding information too much, and at times a little annoying.

Nah it was just cool. I showed it to my Japanese exchange student and my boyfriend (he's not into deep movies, but he says it's one of his favorite movies). My exchange student didn't think it was cool, but me and my boyfriend were like  over it. I don't think it was deep either, but the music was cool and it had its moments.

Susumu Hirasawa is the reason why that movie was at good as it was. But compared to Satoshi Kon's other works this movie falls short.

You can say that for almost any anime without a gigantic budget. Hell, Berserk uses about as many stills as it does scenes of quality animation, but it's amazing anyway.
