I'll battle someone, but I'm not too sure how wi-fi battling works. Do I just register someone and host downstairs in the pokecenter? Anyway my friend code is: 4381 8658 3120

To battle on wifi, you just add each other's friend codes and meet each other in the wifi room. Easy as pie.

Quick question, can you battle people who aren't your friends on Pokemon D/P? If so... how? I've gotten all 8 badges, but haven't done the Pokemon League yet. Do I need to clear that? I've gone downstairs in the Pokecenter and it seems that the only thing you can do there (at least for me) is battle friends online whom you have the friend code of.

For the DS games, you need to exchange friend codes.
There should be another video with me in it coming out soon. I battled this guy with a record of like 400-something wins and 15 losses and gave him his 16th loss.  WITH A VENUSAUR'S LEECH SEED.

Mare and I battled on Netbattle back when I was learning competitive play.  He understands. Maybe not Diamond and Pearl metagame, but the general idea.
