Hi everyone, I'm new but have been lurking around these boards for a little while now, especially since I needed to keep up with all the USA tour news! I had a question about getting stuff signed/meeting the band before or after shows...I'll be going to the NYC show and would absolutely love to just get a picture with the band, but when is the most appropriate time based on the other shows they'be played here? Do they come out and do the meet-and-greet before the show or do they usually stick around after and sell their merch?? They must perform soundchecks a few hours beforehand right? The last thing I want is to be an asshole and intrude on their duties that day but I cannot go home without shaking hands with Manabe. Please let me know if any of you have any insight on this, thank you!!

Yeah, they're really nice. Buy them a beer for brownie points!
And yeah, I won't be catching them this time around. I'll be in EUROPE. GOSH!
But whatever, I'll see em next year/time they come back. None of y'all do anything to disturb them and chase them away from the Americas forever, y'hear?

I think it depends on the venue, really.
At the Chicago '05 (or '06, I dunno, the Logan Square one) show I got there 3 and literally ran into the band standing around outside just chilling. Some people also stuck around after the show (trying to avoid the venue people herding people out) and got the band to sign a couple things when they came out to pack up their gear.

At the chicago show in 06 they were really casual and approachable. If you get there ripe and early you should be able to catch them coming out for a smoke. Thats when I got Manabe and Sawao to sign my White Incarnation. After the show I got Sato and Jun to sign it as they were packing up.
But it really depends on the venue. Logan Square was extremely casual. But Sawao definitely loves to come out, take pictures with fans and sign stuff. He just eats fan praise up. It especially helps if you're a group of cute american girls.
from my experience, if given the chance they dont really hide from fans or anything. But if they're sound checking you cant get in to see em. It's best to get their early and hang around the venue area or try to stick it out in the venue after it's over.
If I make it to the NYC show I'll definitely be sticking around after the show since I probably wont get there really early.

It would be cool if we could get pictures of IM members together at/before/after a show, to post up.

Awesome. I guess those rumors floating around last year about a spring USA tour actually had some merit after all!
I can't wait!
so I can get my One Life poster signed,.
You have a One Life poster? Where did you get that?
Also, I don't know what I should get signed, I only have My Foot, Wake Up!, and Ladybird Girl,
I'd have them sign my guitar, but it's black.

Where did everybody get One Life posters? A limited edition release of the single? I'd kill for one.

Yahoo Japan through Rinkya. Got an TYMT poster, too. I like that one better but I'm hoping to get OL signed for more sentimental reasons.
Edit: And yeah, get your guitar signed, that'd be badass. Silver sharpie or silver...paint...pen...thingy (the term escapes me) should work methinks.
