Harriet the Spy and/or Nickelodeon movies/programs
I just watched Harriet the Spy for the first time since BUKU YEARS AGO when I first saw it on Nick. I remembered it not being all sunshine and lolipops, and was entertained by it again as an adult. Nick had big-time balls to show kids being truly mean like that. While there were some eccentric and completely unrealistic characters, hey, that's fine. Harriet and Sport were great, and Rosie O' Donnell had some great lines. It seemed to end just a little abruptly, but overall, major love for Nick to make a film for the book.

Yeah, 1996. You'd have been what, four years old? Might have just missed it.

I did watch the movie, but I forgot what it was all about.
I have the DVD, but I don't feel like watching it again.

Rather curious tidbit: Danny Tamberelli is apparently a bassist in a band now. I only know this because they performed at my school - I don't keep tabs on him, and I missed the show (or never intended to go, rather).
Anyway, Pete & Pete: North Jersey ftw.
