It's getting more and more likely that I will be at the NYC show. :D
Well it's 500 bucks fro a full even badge wich I'm not interested at all. Hopefully they will charge normal when you just enter on event. But yeah hopefully my idea will happen. If not, I rather fly to SF becuase it would be way cheaper that 500 just to see one band.
I explained it a few pages back but here it is again:
There are three types of admission - the $600 badge lets you get into whatever you want through the entire music festival, first priority. They also sell a wristband for about $130 that lets you get into whatever you want in the festival, but priority is after badge holders, and it's a pain to get unless you have a friend in Austin. At the club's discretion, they will admit individuals on a particular night for a cover fee like normal but you are lowest priority so you better get in line early or make friends with the manager.
More details.

There were people who took the last option when the Pillows first came and did get in. Also keep in mind this also depends on the capacity of the club.

I'm trying to figure out if it makes more sense to skip a day of work and try to go to the NYC show, or to stay with a friend in Boston and go to the anime con. Either way, gas will suck, roadtrips aren't as cheap as they were a decade ago.

I hope a Chicago show is announced out of nowhere. I really do. :(

Edit: Who am I kidding, I loved seeing them at ACen but it was quite possibly the lamest crowd I've ever been a part of (up front at least people were utterly still and there were one too many Haruko cosplayers), if I go anywhere I'm going to the NYC show. \m/

Well, now it's a 75% chance of me being at the NYC show, if I can behave well until then...

P.S. The main site is now updated with the consolidated show info so you don't have to dig through all this... unless you want to.

Yay terra

So who else is all going to be at the NYC show, and who's going to the SF show? I'll be at both, and the IMers should all meet up at some point for awesome.

I don't really understand, They don't sell tickets for the show, only for the festival? That's dumb, I'd only be going for the Pillows, but I'm not going to spend rediculous amounts of money.

Well remember that only two of the shows have been offically announced. Plus, last year's tour had a total of seven shows, and I would think they'd add tour stops rather than subtract them after two successful tours. I bet the reason they haven't said anything about the shows yet on their site or MySpace is because they're still negotiating tour stops.
Well they also announced their shows a hell of a lot sooner in the past, don't forget. So i'm starting to doubt their interest in doing a more expansive tour than before. There just is very little anticipation for the tour since it was announced so suddenly.
But really, the last tour was announced kind of suddenly too. Remember, the date for the SF show wasn't decided until exactly a month before the show happened, and the tour website had already been up a week before then. So I'm still holding out for more shows to be announced. I will be very, very surprised if there's not. becuase honestly, what's the point of promoting your music on MySpace, making a special English part of your site, and making your music available across the US for I Tunes, and then only make 5 or 6 tour spots? It would just seem to be a waste of marketing.

They've got to be careful to hit only cities where they'll get a good turnout though. As a foreign band, they're probably not going to get any sort of reasonable turnouts at most places they'd go to.

But yeah, I'd say odds are that they'll add a few more shows, they're probably just still working them out.

That's what I'm thinking, they just have to iron out details with some other venues. But they did get good turnouts in Chicago and Mexico, so I don't see why they should be skipped unless there was a major problem booking a show causing them to skip said city.

I guess Florida is definately not a safe place for the pillows to go to then... as far as I know... there aren't many fans around.

I lived in NYC the last time they came around, only I didn't realize that they came to the city till a week after the show. I was so freakin pissed.

But now I'm back to living in Vermont, and I'm getting a bunch of friends to come with me. Boston would be closer, but I like the idea of not going to an anime fest to see them, plus I have some friends who are still living in NYC so I have about a 75% chance of going to that show.

I can't wait. I think my wife is planning to buy tickets sort of as my birthday present. 8)
