And Sawao Yamanaka? where the world do you get $450 of going to Anime Central. You only need 45$ just to get in...then again I guess it depends where you live.

Yeah. I live in Nebraska. Plane tickets to Chicago are around $110 alone. (If I were to drive, it would probably cost more, given the current gas prices.) Then comes the problem of the hotel. The Hyatt Regency hotel that's supporting Anime Central is already filled up with reservations, so I would have to go to another hotel that doesn't have the special Anime Central guest price....That's about $100-200 a night, based off of the current hotel rates...I would also need to pay for a shuttle to get from the hotel to the convention center, since I most likely wouldn't be able to walk. Then there's the $45 for admission, and the price of food.

Adding to all of this, My parents are paranoid about big cities, so one of them would have to come with me, thus doubling the price of everything above...

Damnit, I hate Nebraska.

-One helluva story-
I envy You.

A Lot.

Like I said before, I would go to the Anime Central show, but There's just no way I can come up with roughly $450 by the middle of May....;___;

I hope to God that they come back to the U.S., and a little closer, next time...
Eh, get a decent job and keep hoping you can make $450. I have a friend who made about $400 within two weeks. And, as I said before, judging by the way the concerts went, the pillows will make a return.
thats cool that you got to met them and all, (and i envy you also since you went!! and i couldn't....) but umm next time, could you pretty please condense the story....a little more??? :(
*cough* That's not even the entire story, I cut a good three paragraphs, moreover, this story is more or less a rough draft. I'm not even done with it. I figure if I'm gonna call this the best day of my life (so far) and get the right to "brag" then I'mma take advantage of it.
dude once again u mess up with the names...first u call sawao sato to his face..and now ur confusing sato for manabe..if ur gonna say something get it right...
Errm, first off, I have this tendency to get really nervious when I'm meeting people I really want to meet. So odds are I'm going to clam up or forget who they are. Second of all, regardless if it was Sato or Manabe, a person got his forehead signed by the pillows, no more, no less.

I spent like 800 bucks to fly to NY and back alone. Surely you can make a bit of cash ! I always have savings for important things like this, and if you start now..

Yes! I live in illinois, but about a four hour drive away from Chicago (as some of you know by now)... It'l cost me about $220.00 which includes the merchandise that I want to buy!....

so far I've made about $60, so I'm not doing THAT bad, but maybe I should get a real job instead of picking up pennies I find on the ground (seriously -_-)?

Heh, well my friend, more or less, got lucky. She gets paid about $10 an hour, got $100 on her birthday, and a few extra dollars here and there. I wish lemonade stands made that much money though.

that's what I was thinking. One of my non-pillows-fan friends asked me what all the money was for and I named off my expenses and to be annoyinh but true said, "seeing your favortie band perform just feet away from you: priceless!"

ha... yeah... I'm not giving up, though! ...donations?
