My few opinions:

Jailbreak ~ Thin Lizzy
Led Zeppelin III
Animals ~ Pink Floyd
Maggot Brain ~ Funkadelic
Awake ~ Dream Theater
Black Rose ~ Thin Lizzy
Van Halen
Blizzard of Ozz ~ Ozzy
Your Living All Over Me ~ Dinosaur Jr.
Where U Been ~ Dinosaur Jr.
Obviously any Jimi Hendrix or SRV album

... and there are so many more, but these were just a few i was thinkin of

the entire album "second heat" by racer x has probably the most amazing rhythm guitar playing, harmonized leads, insane shredding, well put built songs, etc.. of any album ive ever heard. too bad about the vocals. but everything else including the song writing is SO WELL DONE that even i can ignore them..

Buckethead - Population Override

Some of Buckethead's most soulful playing supported by unbelievable keyboards and drums.

Im not sure but I remember the guy from white stripes (cant remember his name for the life of me.) was named one of the most innovative guitar players of all time.

I dont know how that works, havent really researched it. And he isnt really fast or anything.

I think what made him innovative was that his stuff was minimalist. So from an aesthetic point of view he was ingenious because he could evoke more with less.

however, while I think thats awesome and something people often forget. I dont think he is really belongs in discussions pertaining to examples of amazingly skilled guitarist albums.

I hate how being a really boring and mediocre guitar player can get you recognition as being "minimalist" and therefore somehow "innovative" or "artistic." The guy just really fucking sucks at guitar.

The White Stripes are fine. I wouldn't say there's any guitar mastery, or anything, but it's a decent listen.
