EDIT: Oh yeah, I meant to say that overall, I liked the new album, but Skool's got a point, nothing really stands out and grabs at me, not like Ni-Gatsu, or Walkman, or Shichi-Gatsu...

It's kinda sad. Maybe it'll grow on me.


EDIT 2: I just -now- found out that Shichi Gatsu is nine minutes long. I guess I never really noticed because the song rocks so damn much.

i've seen listings on slsk that list january as a secret track, but it's a completely blank mp3. No sound throughout the whole 6 or 7 minutes of the file. I've dled from a couple of people and had the same problem. If you have it, upload it. If you have any official proof, then fine.

January is the final track of the 74 or so. It's 4 seconds long like the preceding ones, but it has some minor sound on it. Nothing of consequence.

So, Skoolyard and I discovered this weekend that Tabuchi Hisako and Yoshimura Hideki are married. I'd noticed for a while now that Tabuchi wears a wedding ring, but the idea they were actually married didn't hit me until Skool mentioned that Yoshimura also wore a ring. It took me by surprise.

I really like Tabuchi's vocal help on the new album. I haven't had a lot of time to listen to it, but she really adds a lot on the title track and "let's rock"

For those who haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere, Juuichigatsu is followed by a long track of silence, and then a whole bunch of three or four second long tracks that, when played seamlessly, make up what I assume is Ichigatsu. It's really only on the CD (which I own), and not hugely interestingly. It's kinda like Rat Music For Rat People, but not quite as good.

Even though I like Number Girl and the pillows more, bloodthirsty butchers are so close to being my favorite band that it's scary. There's just something about songs like Houi, Boku, Toki wa Owaru, and No Future that really resonates with me. It feels like "me", whereas a lot of music I like simply because I enjoy it.

Actually there IS an ichigatsu song, it's on the Cinderalla V.A.
