I was there!
It was really awesome. I got to meet the pillows and noodles! It was mostly a Q&A session with some fans, but after they signed autographs and took pictures with us. I got Thank you, my twilight signed by them all! I also took some pictures, but since I still live in the stone age where there's no digital cameras, I'll have to wait to get them developed.
Most of the questions people asked were about FLCL, but there were still some interesting ones.
Random stuff I remember:
-The reason Jun is not an official member is because he's "too young", since he's only been in the band for 6 years.
-the pillows [i]do[/i] take their name from the Pillows and Prayers album. Apparently, it was Manabe's idea.
-Sawao dosen't practice that much, Manabe practices every day, and Jun said that he dosen't practice.
-noodles don't plan on getting another guitar player.
On my way out I decided to buy some stuff. I bought ivy and got it signed by Yoko, Ayumi, and Ikuno. Then I went to buy some pillows stuff, but found out that they had just sold out of t-shirts. I was able to get a keychain, though.
Then I left, but as I was walking down 8th Street I thought to myself, "Why the hell did I forget to buy noodles t-shirts!". So I went back and the bands were setting up for a sound check. I saw Jun, Manabe, Shin-chan stepping outside for a smoke. Jun saw me and said hello. I then asked this Studio Z guy if I could go in just to buy a couple of noodles t-shirts. He asked my age and I told him 20. He said "Sorry, I can't let you in the building." But then he went in to get someone to bring out some of the t-shirts for me to buy.
A sales person came out with t-shirts, and Yoko did as well! I told the sales person what size and design I wanted, then she went back inside. Yoko and I talked a little while the sales person got my t-shirts. She was very nice, and she thanked me a lot for buying the t-shirts. I then wished her good luck on the show and said goodbye.
Today was a good day.
