I see alot of Shiroi in this PV. The play house reminds me of the house in the Third Eye PV. Song still sucks though. Back to the drawing board, Peter Park....I mean Sawao Yamanaka.

He was fucking adorable.
Around this time of the year, when Taurus passes through Scorpio, at full moon on a Wednesday...GoldenRhino can been seen agreeing with supertrampolineschoolkid. However, it will be another long 365 days before this happens again.

 Sawao love
Much Sawao love :3

Listening to this song again, I'm actually more impressed than I was the first couple of times.

The song really isn't that bad. The only part that it's sorely lacking is the vocal melodies in the verses. But Other than that, it has some of the more interesting guitar work that I've heard from Manabe in a long time. Going from the Intro right into the crappy verse is the most mis-leading, it makes you think, "jeez, the rest of this song is gonna be terrible." But really, the chorus and bridges are pretty cool sounding.

Also the sexy little lick after each verse. I'm rather addicted to this song. The chorus, changeups, and energy make it work really well in my opinion.

It makes sense that this PV is similar in ways to the last few, as it's the same director.

This song is...interesting. I kind of get the whole power pop-rock thing their going for. I guess that's their main style now :? . It's a very B-side song. Solo....wtf Manabe. Seriously, that was the lamest attempt at a solo by Manabe I've heard.

Manabe's solo struck me as sort of a...BOYS BE LOCKSMITH. type "not really solo, but sort of a solo", but more than that.

Not a solo like Terminal Heaven's Rock's solo, but more of an...instrumental bridge.

And I think clouds should post more, cause his input is fucking invaluable. Feel free to sig that.

Oh, and on the whole muted powerchord / pop-rock / AKG-style thing that people are going on about...in the awkward interview with J-melo, Sawao said that they always like to try new things. Of course, that's obvious just looking at their discography. Maybe in the next album...or after the next one, we'll see a style change away from this? It's just a thought. They haven't really stuck with one style for more than...say...4 years?

I wouldn't have it any other way in regards to that instrumental section. Is Manabe the only one playing? No. CRASH, CRASH, CRASH! bup bah dup, CRASH, CRASH, CRASH! bup bah dup, CRASH, CRASH, CRASH! roll roll, CRASH, CRASH, CRASH! roll roll, CRASH, CRASH, CRASH! *bass* blu doo do doo, CRASH, CRASH, CRASH! blu luu ba du, CRASH, CRASH, CRASH! roll roll, CRASH, CRASH, CRASH! Buh BAH! If you listen to that instead of dead-on focusing on the lead, it gives Manabe more power with a simpler line. The "solo" is actually Shin's and Manabe's parts together, with Jun adding in the second half and Sawao just banging away. Turn the volume up.

It's not supposed to be "Manabe solo time" in every song. Wouldn't that get old? Everybody follows basic lines while the attention shifts to Manabe for crazy guitar story time. It works great from time to time, but not every song should be written that way. You'd get a whole CD that would run too much together. No matter how awesome they may be alone, in sequence together it could be discouraging. It'd start to feel more like a "Manabe solo" production line, cramming it down our throats. When it hits out of nowhere like a sack of potatoes after 3-4 songs, it's pretty cool to hear every time.

Listen to the drums and the bass. :groovin: Hear the lead and vocals. :shred:

I'm still a little irked that the song loses steam and brainfarts after that, but that chorus has a great feeling behind it, and the timing of the bands movements are captured well. It's a well shot video, and for the most part, I like it.
guitar story time
That's exactly how I feel. And whenever Manabe is done playing, I feel like the guitar had more to say. :(

Actually, though the solo was weak, it had good interplay with the bass and the drums have been better lately, as I've stated before. Now if only we could convince them that they should have the good bass lines, driving drums, godly vocals AND amazing lead lines, we'd be hitting something as good or better than the Lostman era stuff. :?

Story time

*kicks door*

ALL RIGHT YOU FUCKSHITS, LISTEN TO THIS :shred: :shred: :shred: :whoa: :shred: :whoa: :shred: :shred:  :shred: :whoa: :shred: :shred:

I think I had a point I was trying to get to with that, but I can't recall it right now, as reading it back I'm a little baffled at how I phrased it. :dizzy: I've always enjoyed Manabe's solos, and I like how often he does them, but I think what I was getting at is that I am also fine with the more recent trend of group instrumentals (as opposed to just Manabe in the spotlight.) (BBL, Propose, Private Kingdom, Sweet Baggy Days, Ladybird Girl)
