I just don't see how Boat House can be overrated. Honestly. I mean it is an awesome song, and it didn't remind me of Tiny Boat at all, never even associated it with Tiny Boat. I mean the melody and the feel to the song are just awesome, the solo is perfect I think, and I really enjoyed Sawao's vocals alot. I'd say it's an instant classic.

It doesn't strike the inner chord [i]of my soul[/i]. I actually find the song to be kind of unremarkable, but that's not really all that important. So long's that you like it, it's all that really matters.
I mean, I'm a little insulted that Crowdy1 doesn't love One Life, but to each his own, right? I'm not going to get bent out of shape about it and press my views on him.
This thread, about overrated songs merely points out that we need to step back and chill the hell out a little bit. It's okay to point out that some obsessions over their material isn't exactly good or anything.
I will say this, Cloudy One, you don't win an internet for your dead thread remark. I don't care what you think about that. I didn't make you read this thread, did I? No. So there's no point in saying something like that. And if you go, "DERR, THER NO POINT IN U POSTING," I'm just going to say, "Maybe I feel like discussing which songs I and others think are overrated [i]mang[/i], now gtfo."

The verse was pretty "meh", but yeah, I loved it a lot. It's success relies on a strong chorus with a fitting solo, and a somewhat PATRICIA-like vibe. That's enough for me to give it my stamp of great approval.

If anything, Ride on Shooting Star is underrated (on IM). It seems that liking that song is so associated with just being a fan of the FLCL stuff (which is apparently a no-no here?), that most of us try to avoid it like the plague. I think it's extremely creative and catchy music-wise, although the lyrics could probably use some work...
We forget that that song single-handedly drew many of us to pillows fandom, through it's original, simple, and catchy tune.

I'd say boat house would be overrated. The only thing that I look forward to in the song is that kick ass solo. Other than that it's probably my least favorite song on the album.

I don't hate Ride On Shooting Star, it just got old. It was never one of my favorite songs from the early days of pillows fandom, anyway. It doesn't help that there's no guitar solo.
Kanojo wa Shisuta is seriously underrated. That song needs more love.
