A band I'm really digging right now is Battles. Mirrored is easily the best album released so far in 2007. Really interesting combination of math rock and electronic sounds, propelled by former Don Cab guitarist Ian William's off-kilter tapping and John Stanier's pounding, relentless beat - this is what Matsushita Atsushi should sound like!

ah, I downloaded that via rapidshare a few weeks ago. I really didn't like what I heard though...Mainly it was the high pitches vocoder'd vocals that killed it for me. Otherwise, it sounded alright.

I only noticed the vocals being weird on two or three songs. I usually don't care what the singing sounds like, so it's not an issue for me.

It may be true that I'm really into the Japanese culture; but that doesn't give you the right to criticize one's taste in music. And yes, maybe I do want to live in Japan. MAYBE! I haven't even been over there yet to decide that.
I apologize for being a dick, and I'll stop the name calling.. however, were you not calling Nickleback and whatever that other band was shitty? Were you not making fun of Panic At The Disco and calling them whiny? I dislike those bands, as well, but that is criticizing someone's taste in music. Also, you criticized reggaeton.
Touche (sorry, there's no accent "e" on my keyboard).

And yeah that "British" comment was full of shit; although I do like 99% of all UK bands that come here (The Darkness is the only exception).

For music, try anything by Damon Albarn, especially "The Good the Bad and the Queen." (I know I'm going to get ripped for this, but) everything Damon touches is gold.

Normally I hate almost all of Connor Oberst's work, But I have to admit, I'm really enjoying the new Bright Eyes album, Casadaga.

he hardly whines at all, it's a good change of style for him.

EDIT- 10,000th post in the music forum.

I'm just going to randomly suggest Eric Johnson's Ah Via Musicom because I like it, although I don't think too many others will. But for the few that will, I have done a huge service to.

I like that song, but not much else by him.

As far as instrumental rock goes, Jeff Beck's albums Blow by Blow and Wired set the bar, in my opinion.

:o I've seen that before! Beautiful stuff. All the wanking shredheads need to realize this is how it's done!

In my humble opinion, "Cliffs of Dover" is the perfect instrumental. To me, no other comes close. Everyone on earth needs to realize that "Cliffs of Dover" is how its done. Of course, anyone who has heard it (and has half a brain) already acknowledges this.

Seen that Beck video a million times, so my opinion might be jaded. At least you know I liked it enough to have watched it a million times.

I'll have to agree.
