I guess it's because I played tennis all throughout high school, so it's boring to me.

When it comes to Wii Sports, I find myself playing bowling and the homerun derby the most. The golf could of been better executed, but for the most part, all the training modes are pretty fun. Alone though, you may not be playing it for long. Wii Play is strictly for multiplayer and the extra controller though, since it's mostly competition based games, although Pose Mii is great frantic fun alone.
Definitely get Excite Truck, I hate racing games, and I find myself coming back for more even after I've unlocked everything (nearly everything, the Fiji Ring Challenge on Super seems impossible to me. ) It's extra sick with Tombo The Electric Bloodred, Cibicco San, and Manga Sick playing on surround stereo system. Reviewers are full of it when they gave it the "unlock everything and your done playing" treatment. I mean, I played the Motorstorm demo at EB and I was "done playing" after two laps.
Kororinpa looks pretty cool, I'd give that a try some time, but I'm currently buying one game at a time, and next on the list is Ouendan 2. Oh yeah, Sambomaster's Sekai wa dadaddadada... is apparently the epic finale song, something about the sun going out? AWESOME.
Heatseeker looks pretty good with decent 7-8 scores, though Gamespot gave it a peculiar 5 something. I still want to get it, cause the flight stick nunchuck setup sounds fantastic, and at the very least better than the pointer mode, I mean come on, I don't want to feel like I'm Paper Airplaning it. Super Paper Mario also demands purchase for obvious reasons.
If I do get a 360 sometime in the future, I'll be waiting for Ace Combat 6, the planes looks amazing.
Oh, and Actraiser is on VC.

Actraiser is a fun game and all... but I still don't see why it gets fellated so much. On the game ranking scale, I'd give it like a 7.8 for okay gameplay and some originality. My point being: there are a lot of better games out there.
EDIT: Kinda off-topic, but I think I mentioned this before in some other thread: I think that reviews nowadays are just getting ridiculously rigged. Especially Game Informer, I fricking hate that magazine now.

Landstalker: The Treasure of King Nole is on Virtual Console.
I immediately tried to throw the save book onto the preacher's desk from as far away as possible. Hello, childhood, I've mis...WAH WAH WAH WAH REAAHHHHHHHHH!
olololol GI. It has nice big articles about upcoming games with nice pictures and screenshots, but their reviews are pure ass. :rant to be moved elsewhere:
But about Landstalker,
EA should jump on board. Jungle Strike/Urban Strike, Road Rash 2/3, hello? Wii prints money too, dudes.
Also, Metroid prime 3 is killer. My brother is currently playing the crap out of it, and I'm also finding enjoyment in the ball rollan, grapple lassoan, space pirate shootan, planet adventuran, waiting for doors to opan gaem.

Have you played Alundra, by any chance?

I rented Alundra a long time ago and liked it, but I got stuck pretty early, lol. I'd give it another shot if I were to chance upon it.
I walked out of the item shop, and my brother was like, "why didn't you buy any Eke Eke?" and I was all like, "Bitch, I don't BUY Eke Eke." I'll probably get molested extra hard by the orcs and mushroom demons now.

xD The most annoying place in that game is Greenhell or Greenhill... whatever it was spelled like, but with the hardest dungeon, imo, probably being Mir's Tower (Mercator Dungeon doesn't count, neither does the optional doggy dungeon.)
But yeah, I know what you mean, it's really easy to get stuck in Alundra. That game just takes puzzle to a whole other level. WHAT NOW, ZELDA'S WATER DUNGEON!?
Also: If Wii comes out with Gunstar Heroes, that would be awesome.
On-topic: Do you actually have to pay for the old games?

Gunstar Heroes is on the Virtual Console. Unless you meant a Wii-specific one.
xD The most annoying place in that game is Greenhell or Greenhill... whatever it was spelled like
Greenmaze. I love how it's impossible to remember how to get through, it's frickin' huge. You just have to grind it out. When NPCs tell me not to go somewhere because "shit sux", I want them to be absolutely right.
but with the hardest dungeon, imo, probably being Mir's Tower...
Mir's Tower and the fight against Mir are pretty challenging, and I recall the Verla Mines being very painful to get through, good-old lava walking segments. I'll gauge which one is harder once I get to them.
Also: If Wii comes out with Gunstar Heroes, that would be awesome.
The GBA Gunstar Heroes is pretty cool, although it's a little short. A new GH game made from the ground up for Wii would be sweet.
On-topic: Do you actually have to pay for the old games?
Of course. Old properties dust themselves off and come back swinging. More sales = Big on everyone's faces.
5$ for NES
6$ for Turbo Graphix-16
8$ for SNES/GEN
10$ for N64
I'll emulate games that are impossible to find, like, say, Sailor Moon: Another Story, or one of the sequels to RCR, but for games I know are awesome and deserve to be *owned*, it's really no big deal for me. If it's a game I enjoyed in my youth but didn't physically own, you can bet your ass I'll not think twice to purchase it for playing it on my couch in front of the big tv/sound system.
Oh lol, if my parents get that divorce, Dad takes his sound system. I'd better play Zelda TP in case that happens.

Holy shit, they've got Turbo Grafx-16!?
Wow.
Just wow.
And btw, the Verla Mines are the best thing ever, TONS of fun. But don't do the dog quest. That shit sux. And I guess just remember Greenmaze being Hell. Hence... Greenhell.

I did the dog quest, it was easier than I remembered. There's a trick with the high-speed boulder button puzzle, you just push them together so they bounce together, effectively giving you one object to traverse across each of the buttons. Then all it comes down to is timing your runs so you make it onto the boulders and leap for the buttons.
Mir's tower was a pain in the ass on that one section with all the warps, like I remembered. I slaughtered Mir, though. It took me all of eight seconds to corner him and hit him five times to defeat him. Payback for giving me grief when I was little.
Just got to Greenmaze. It is made of Green and Maze.
But on the Wii topic, I'm getting a second nunchuck tomorrow for some multiplayer Strikers Charged! and Wii Sports Boxing action.

Yeah, Mir is easy as hell to beat, but his tower sucks. Speaking of suck, you know what else sucks? Doing the jump-turn like twenty times at the final dungeon. I got pretty good at it, but it still sucked like hell if you turned even slightly too soon because then you'd get hit by the spiked ball in the corners. Also: Dodging the ones flying at you sucked. Other than that, the final area is pretty fun, if just time-consuming.

Alright, I know this isn't a topic about Landstalker, but I seriously don't know what the shit is going on. I'm stuck in the labyrinth to King Nole's Palace...
It seems there's a grey box that's blocking my way that shouldn't be there. I've been running in circles, and I'm certain I've checked everywhere. I've checked the faqs/walkthroughs, and they don't mention it, all casually remarking that you just go to the room and open the door with the key... I have the key, but there's a block! That doesn't move! There was a block one room before this that moved, and it was because of a button I pressed! I'd unpress it, but that's unpossible!
This is inexcusable. It reeks of glitch. The block should be up in the air, IIRC, but it's not. IT'S RIGHT IN MY WAY AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY.
