Off by a bit, take a more careful listen to the guitar riffs on the main line, that's all I listened to because I'm in a rush, but you're not quite right there. And by "damned accurate" I meant perfect as according to the studio versions of the songs.
I don't see how they deviate. What hast thou observed?

Sawao:
|-----------| |-2-------2-| |---4---2---| |-----4-----| |-----------| |-----------|
For starters. It's actually pretty easy to hear, and I'm too tired and lazy to tab out the stuff, but I'd carefully relisten to the song.

That F# on the fourth string doesn't sound very pronounced, and it is probably being overridden by the B on the third string ringing out. I'll take your word for it, but besides that almost-negligible detail, the tab seems great.
Edit: I changed it for your pleasure.

Manabe's part seems to be missing a few notes on the main line too, and the thing with Sawao's verse is pretty darn noticeable, most of us played it that way before getting the band score.

I'm curious to know what TV show or whatever this was on. And what's with the simplified 2 minute version?

About those comments on the video,
I'm not sure where people get the assumption that bands should sound EXACTLY like the studio recording when they are playing live.
Sawao ran out of breath a few times in that recording, but with the tempo of the song, and the notes he's trying to hit, it's a wonder he didn't gasp for air.
You need powerful lungs for fast paced, high note singing.
But yes, that tie needs to either be met with a suit and bowler hat, or be removed.

I would assume that the use of the studio recording for the instrument audio was not the bands, but whoever made the show.

Eh, it's just promotional pap, it looks like something you sandwich between commercials on a Mall TV. Just a brief reminder for people walking by, since people usually don't have time to stand around and watch a 4 1/2 minute music video on shopping errands.
Also, no real comment on wardrobe, i don't really pay attention to stuff like that. They're just trying to irk us, and it's not really working.

After seeing both the w/ Mr. Children performance and this one...I can definitely say that this is a case where the studio version outshines the live version by a longshot. Except for the maybe the solo. Manabe's solo on the DVD was pretty cool..
