Wow. First pillows song in a while that hasn't disappointed me. It sounds a lot fresher than their other new stuff. I like it better than Scarecrow. The PV is a lot more fun, too. Maybe this album will be pretty good.
Really? I found the song to be kind of uneventful and low-key.
ditto.
I don't understand why every dislikes SCARECROW.
I think BOYS BE LOCKSMITH fails in comparison to the tune and overall emotion that SCARECROW has.
I mean, it's a good song, but not better.
Wake up Do Do was bland.

I enjoyed the song and the video. I thought the chrous was pretty good, you think it's gonna be a loud sound but it ends up being low key. You would'nt expect it really.

Let's all relax guys and enjoy the music for ourselves.
If you fail to do that much, why don't you listen to something else? Yeah, I know. It never even began to occur...

i'm beginning to like it more now... the pre-chorus is the kind of the 'hook' of the song.
Damn, I can't WAIT for this summer. I'm pretty much going to the kyoto concert for sure.
Make sure you don't slack about getting your ticket, last year I intended to go to the "LOSTMAN GO TO CITY" stop at the big cat in Osaka, but the tickets sold out literally the first day they where on sale, and at the time I unfortunately had responsibilities preventing me from getting to a Lawsons. Luckily I ended up being able to get tickets for the Nagoya show, but it ended up costing a lot more and taking a lot more time as I had to travel a good bit. Of course because of that I got to wander around Nagoya, play around in this sweet interactive science museum with a bunch of little Japanese kids running about, wend my way through a thoroughly developed bum village, stay in a sweet capsule hotel, etc... and then of course witness (I believe) the first performance of Lady Bird and the first public display of the Scarecrow studio recording... and then the incredible show itself. crap, those are some awesome memories :0)
Oh, and about the PV, I think its pretty darn cool that they're developing their own cast of characters (possible reuse of animation aside, but really, does it make the music any worse or the video any less enjoyable? Use that human power of choice and decide to make the answer "no" - don't let that sort of insignificant crap impede your enjoyment, neh?)

Here's the reason why the characters from the 916 clips were used in this PV.
1) They're entertaining. It's fun to watch the Buster get chased by that gang of three, and it's cool when the THR dog saves the day.
WHOAMG, I JUST SOLVED THE PUZZLE. It's not that hard, supertramp. It doesn't mean Sawao is running out of ideas, or that the band is "slipping" (what the hell?)
Just take the PV for what is is. A music video featuring some old characters in a familiar situation...but with a twist, pertinent to the actual song. That's all it is. And as Jomei said, this is really one of the pillows' most original videos to date. No one needs to try to read into any deeper meanings than: It's entertaining.
So there.

I enjoyed the video much much more than the song. But then I also have a soft spot for animation.
The style in a couple places reminded me of Samurai Jack.

That totally reminds me, what happened with Lady Bird? It's not on the tracklist. Think you'd remember what it sounds like still? Maybe they changed it's name for the album or maybe they just threw it out all together

The animation quality is really good, the colors are really nice and vibrant and stand out. I really like the video, especially the part when Buster-kun is chasing Dodo around the house.

Ya, I've been wondering the same thing, but unfortunately I really doubt that I'd recognize it if I heard it again. The only really distinct memory I have from that concert about anything specific from the new songs is of scarecrow, which is now pretty irrelevant, and a very vague general impression of Lady Bird and Propose. I don't recall being that blown away by Lady Bird, I remember that I was concentrating on trying to understand the lyrics at the time, which I also remember none of - the word kimi was probably used however.

That's it. I'm hoping WU3 is better than RH. Seriously, RH on the whole doesn't do jack shit for me. Juliet and Runners High are the only songs on there that I'd intentionally want to listen to again. This album already has two songs I love.
It's not that I think it's mindblowingly amazing, it's more that I think RH is grossly overrated.

WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! Jedi when Sawao decides to stop recycling his old chords/riffs/licks/etc.
Song was going along alright until the chorus. And some of the verses leading up to the chorus sounded extremely similar to Walkin' On The Spiral. Not necessarily lyrics, but just how Sawao sung the lyrics. Otherwise, the PV had a nice style to it, which I liked.

huh? okay...
Also, not really hearing the Walkin' similarity, but maybe I could see the singing style and tone overall being similar.
