I thought it was alright. It does have an entertaining video, at least. Of course, now on the Keikaku forums, everyone's fussing about how it's the most horrible song of all time, undoubtedly stirred up by Culen and catfish. What a shock!

I like it. Was just expecting to have a more powerful solo since the song seem mellow. Loved the PV though. Very nice.

Deff should be an ablum song. BOYS BE LOCKSMITH was a great song, same with this one though, was expecting a harder solo (or a real one at least)Tsuyogari, the best out of all the songs on the single. Maybe just a little bit more than Wake up Wake up.

Wow, I think that's a really nicely done video and the song itself is good, except for one thing. I'm not sure if it's the lower quality of it being on youtube, but the only thing I really dislike is the echo in it.

Other than that, good stuff, good stuff.

Wow. First pillows song in a while that hasn't disappointed me. It sounds a lot fresher than their other new stuff. I like it better than Scarecrow. The PV is a lot more fun, too. Maybe this album will be pretty good.
Really? I found the song to be kind of uneventful and low-key.
It's not overwhelmingly awesome, but I dug it. Of course, it will also sound better on the album.
Right, like I said, it's a solid work, and I enjoyed it.

I just think the pillows have done many other things that weren't disappointing. For instance, "My Foot" was a wonderfully crafted song, and one of their most impressive. Of course, this is just my opinion, and I understand yours as well.

They have officially run out of ideas.

Those are their characters. It's their first PV with them on it. How is that running out of ideas?

Yeah, seriously. It's paralleled to the 916 DVD for a reason. It's not like every time you see a buster-kun on pillows paraphernalia you say "looks like Sawao is running out of ideas", or when you hear a solo, "looks like Manabe is running out of ideas." I enjoyed the fact that they brought back the characters from the 916 snippets.

Those characters AND the concept where they are used has already been done in a previous work of thiers that people still have and watch.
It's a cute idea and everything BUT that idea was created for a different song: Terminal Heavens Rock. That's the THR dog.

How exactly is this NOT proof that they may be running out of ideas?

Oh really? And you know this for a fact how exactly? Please enlighten me.

I enjoy the fact that Culen's criticizing you for length when just a page earlier he's writing fucking essays about Sawao being influenced by brit-pop.

I can't be bothered to register for the keikaku forums to point this out to him. Besides, I pretty much actively dislike almost everyone there.

This song... is really mediocre. Better than "Scarecrow," but still disappointingly not noteworthy in any significant way. Thus far, MY FOOT's singles are totally owning WAKE UP!'s. Even though it was kind of ground-already-tread, The Third Eye had a fucking bangin' chorus melody. And Nonfiction is one of my favorite recent pillows songs, though I'm certain most of you disagree with me there.

EDIT: Though I kinda like the '60s garage-band chord progression in the bridge.

Whats so bad about bringing back all their characters for one PV?

Can youprove without a shadow of the doubt that Sawao said: "oh shit! im out of ideas! lets use the 916 clips"

That they used the THR dog in a snippet of their video is running out of ideas?

My opinion:
Interesting. I liked the song and the lyrics. The video itself was okay. The music style is really sweet, especially on the prechorus part with that old-school sound to it. I REALLY dig this chorus. Yeah, the solo wasn't crazy impressive, but I'm really looking forward to the album overall, as it seems like it's gonna be really good. Damn, I can't WAIT for this summer. I'm pretty much going to the kyoto concert for sure. :D

I heard that Sawao does the solo for this one, which would explain its simplicity.

I like how when he says "can you hear that old rock music" it breaks into that little old-school riff right for the prechorus.

I was hoping they would have brought out the THR skunk.

Oh my God guys! They used Buster-kun in that video! AND A PILLOWS SONG! THIS IS DEFINITELY UNDENIABLE, INCONTROVERTIBLE, INDUBITABLE EVIDENCE THAT THE PILLOWS ARE OFFICIALLY OUT OF IDEAS.

There's nothing wrong with it. I'm just wondering why all of the sudden they decided to use a concept that was made for something else.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall a time they've ever done that before.

And no I can't prove that, but I can give an idea on what might have occured in his head at the time, and it would have gone something like this:

A new video... for a song called Wake up! Dodo... So we'll have a Dodo... and maybe buster... (insert Sawao's version of Jimmy Neutrons brain blast sequence).. SHIT! WE CAN USE THE LITTLE DUDES FROM 916. There, problem solved with minimal work on my part. Now I can go back to looking at porn.

...or something like that.
