I swear, some of these games just ...suck and I could write better stories than some of these mofo's.

It's kinda hard to explain my frustration, y'know? But I would really, really, love to be the guy who gets like, the final say-so in how stories are put up when they make video games. As an example, I give you this imaginary scenario:

Story guy: You wanted to see me sir?
Me: *With my back facing the guy looking out the window, doing that cliche thing, turning in my chair cocking my head and going: "Hmm? Oh! Yes, yes, please sit down."
*Story guy sits down*
Me: All right, I'm going to get to the point right away. You're a good writer, we all know that.
Guy: I'm sorry, I don't follow sir...
Me: Hold on, hold on.
Guy: *stammers*
Me: Now, this recent submission you gave me... Why on earth did you throw in this dream crap? Seriously, the story was working fine, and out of the blue you just spring this up out of nowhere. Now, I like the ingenuity of it, but this doesn't even make sense.
Guy: *Begins explaining, only to be cut off.*
Me: Look, it's bullshit, we're a major company here and I won't tolerate such nonsense when it's my job to make sure that we produce quality games. To do that, I have to make sure they make sense and that they're driven, deep, and inspiring. What you did here, you just took a shot in the darkness and hoped that you hit the mark. Well you didn't. Now get out of my office and think of something else.



And that's how I'd lay down the law.

Seriously though, "You're the dream of something that doesn't even technically exist, sorta." Wtf?

I never played FFX, it sucked too much.

why was ten bad? it had a good battle system, it had good character development, a good level up system and really nice graphics...

tidus is a summon... if you can suspend your disbelief for that (yeah it annoyed me too but not as much as you, it seems) then it's a good story.

I also got annoyed by the voice actors. Watching my brother play it was like...UGH. I'll stick with the better ones, thanks. XD Also, not enough time any more to get eaten up by awesome RPGs.

It only had good character development up until the point on that Ronzo Mountain.

And if Tidus was a "summon" as you call him, how the fuck did he have a past? Not only that, but if he was a summon, would not Jecht also be a summon, created by the fayth? If so, why could the fayth just not end their dream of Jecht (that's minor). Zanarkand = all a big dream, it's just really stupid and unnecessary. I say more could have been done with it. Saying it's all a dream is just a cop out imo.

EDIT: Other than that thing up there, I'll agree that FFX is a good game. Although, it can be ridiculously easy to cheat on leveling the Sphere Grid. <3 Jumbo Cactuar King/Guy.

imo the ff series has gotten really sucky and bogged down.

After 6, I've only tried 10, and I didn't find it interesting at all in the first half hour or so.
