 Suggestion; Terra please read.
As we've all seen, IM is without a mod or admin around most of the time. I'd like to propose adding a mod, as it used to be back in the day. This would take some of the complaints off of Joeyuse's back for him not being online all the time and make it easier to get problems taken care of quickly.
I'd like to suggest either Jomei or Thinline for the job. I know Jomei said he didn't want to do it, but I think if Terra asked him to, he might reconsider, as he'd make a splendid mod. Thinline would also make a great mod.
Discuss. Put forth nominations here, perhaps? Or bash the idea down. Either way.

I second this. Joyeuse, like many of us, probably has many things IRL keeping him busy, and it sucks for him to be the only one responsible for bussing the tables at the buffet. He probably takes more flack than he deserves (from me), and the forum has suffered numerous times under floods of spam and trolling.
I'm not sure if nominating me is a good idea, as certain parties think my push for civility around the forums is a ploy to get mod privileges, which isn't the case. I don't want anyone to have the wrong idea. If terra wants me to, I might reconsider, but I should also add that Goldenrhino, Thinliine, and Marekenshin are also dedicated members worthy of the responsibility.
Note, I may be forgetting other good potential mods, but those three are who came first to my mind.

GoldenRhino, Thinliine, Jomei, and Marekenshin are all great candidates, in my opinion, and also the first four to come to my mind. I agree.

No.
Edit: Also, I might suggest adding two mods, Jomei and Marekenshin (due to seniority and post count - as well as frequency I see them online). And, as a precaution, both Jomei and Marekenshin (or whomever should be chosen) would have to concurrently agree upon any particular action either of them makes.
Of course, terra might just say screw all this, but this is the solution that makes the most sense to me, particularly since we've had a recent upsurge in trolling.

the only reason mare has a high post count is because he is so spammy.

No...he does post a lot, but he's been here for a long time, and it's generally not spam.
But post count really shouldn't have anything to do with whether someone gets a mod position or not, anyway. It's totally irrelevant.
I first thought that Thinliine should be mod, and he by far has the lowest post count out of the four I mentioned. It's because he's generally level-headed and reasonable and objective.

Post count should matter. The whole point is that mods are not on enough as it is, not that we have bad mods.
And Mare's posts are all but spammy, and if they were, they couldn't even compare to clouds'.

Thinliine is on all the time. He just doesn't post as much and hasn't been an active member for as long.

Interesting idea, but I think that would just make it harder to moderate. In the event of spam or trolling, we'd need two mods to take any action.

Like I said, it's not just one thing, it's several. Seniority, post count, frequency online. From what you said, Thinliine lacks the first two.
Of course, these are criteria that I think are reasonable. I suppose it does not apply to everyone.

Well, we can all agree that giving anyone mod is a hell of a lot more than we could even ask of terra. So, in the beginning (I would assume that eventually the two people could be full-fledged mods), it would just make sense to put some checks on these mods.

I'm online enough to be a mod, i guess, and I have the post count, seniority(been around since planet pillows), and I was a mod in IM's last incarnation.

You have to stop being such a douche first. I figured that criteria was a given. It's plenty obvious that when you get bored, you just start spewing crap. Oh, and no offense.
