The guitarist from the Strokes. Has anybody heard his solo album? It's really good, kinda like the strokes, but a bit lighter and more upbeat.

The Strokes' guitarwork never really struck me as anything special.

I like The Strokes. I guess the music isn't that special, but I like them. So maybe I'll check this guy out.

I gave his Yours To Keep album a listen today. After listening to it once I would just say - good music, but nothing amazing.

That's what I meant, and it's pretty much the credo of the Strokes.

Yeah, Tatsu-kun said it was nothing special but I was still drooling over it. It's OK. I'd buy it.

The song that sounded like it came off of Sgt. Peppers was good enough.

Really?

Cuz my next complaint was the all too apparant lack of jazz comping.

I'm trying to not be so closed minded about certain types of music that i actually like. Don't get me wrong though, most everything sucks.

I dunno what this album sounds like, but since I can't stand The Strokes, I'm not expecting much. Maybe I'll give it a listen.

I listened to it last night. It was OK, I guess. I wasn't really paying attention while I was listening. As others said, it didn't really strike me as anything special. I'll try it again sometime.
