So, what are some good Number Girl songs?
I've heard a couple, and they're really noisy and annoying.
The only one that I kind of like so far is toumei shoujo.

That's been my experience. I really like Num Ami Dabutz, though. Try some songs on NUM HEAVY-METALLIC. Maybe you'll like that. But maybe not. :/

Try Sentimental Girls Violent Joke alternate take. That song is fucking awesome.

I love the live of SGVG on Kiroku 2... Inazawa does a new-wave/post-punk-ish beat during the chorus that's totally different from the studio version.

 Re: Number Girl
all NG songs are essential
well almost...
if you into pixies+husker du listen to school girl bye bye and school girl distortional addict
i think NG really comes into its own with sappukei and num-heavy metallic.
can't decide which i like more sgda or nhm.
and yeah, some great songs have been pointed out above.

 Re: Number Girl
http://www.sputnikmusic.com/album.php?albumid=31815I wrote this review for Sputnik Music. Just in case there are some here who haven't heard NG and wonder what all the fuss is about.

that is a really good review, putting the album into perspective. another thing that i really liked about NHM is the heavily reverbed drums. I recall upon the first few listens, my ears were burning from the sizzling drums. i also didnt know that was ahito doing the vocals for NHM title track. man, zazen boys are good but number girl was great.
