I don't know where else to post this so I might as well do it here:
I have a lot of shows coming up. Next one is Sage Francis with Buck 65. No foul there. Next: Deftones. With Dir En Grey. I feel wrong. After that is Daft Punk so I'll be redeemed hopefully. What a weird summer this will be.

Slint - For Dinner...
Slint is a highly influential early nineties post-rock band. Very interesting stuff.

Aquatic Ambiance (2)- Donkey Kong Country
I could not find a site with a better or actual version of this song and the one from Newgrounds by ZombiePossessor was missing that one melody that completed the song. Oh well. My favorite ambient track even though I am not an ambiance fan. This song plays when you're in any of the underwater levels in DKC.

FFVII - Anxious Hearts.
Man, this song... It just fucking rocks. It's that song in Final Fantasy 7 that's pretty much used everywhere. You know, it opens with that ethereal ensemble of spine-tingling strings and then has a harp(? frickin' midi quality...) and flute duet which leads into the xylophone part of the song.
Examples of it in FFVII - Train Graveyard, Nibleheim's town song.
I don't know, but there is just something to the quality of this song that just captured the essence of Final Fantasy 7 that is just so... striking. It's dark, depressing, and very introspective. I think that's what garnered Final Fantasy VII's true appeal. It made people look at themselves introspectively and made them realize that we're all not that far from madness.
It's an amazingly simple song, but the connotations I hold for it make it something that just transcends music.
I really wish I could describe how I felt a lot better.

Cornelius - Drop
Cornelius is easily one of the 21st century's more innovative artists. Check out the albums Fantasma and Point, as well his most recent release Sensuous.

Currently digesting:
bloodthirsty butchers - GUITARIST wo korosanaide
MO'SOME TONEBENDER - Rockin' Luuula (I downloaded the entire discography a few days ago. Hit me up if you want any. This album's pretty slick
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Wjp04VwnAIs
Ryuichi Sakamoto - CHASM. I just heard of this guy. What the hell took so long!? He seems to be Japan's answer to Aphex Twin (in terms of amount of influence over electronica.
This was what got me hooked: http://youtube.com/watch?v=qM9gZjcjLCs
CHEMISTRY - Sora no Kiseki (single). Why? Cause I'm a slut.

But really, their voices are smooth like butter. Don't even try to deny it.
