Anyone else's "Sanzen" track damaged? There are a couple of blank spots (like pops) that shouldn't be there.

I'm actually digging their pre-Tabuchi Hisako work which people agree it's better, but "Banging the Drum" is probably the best starter album you're going to get.

After listening to the butchers more extensively, I think I can safely say that Banging The Drum kicks the crap out of Birdy. Mikansei and Yamane are way, way underrated.
I expect the new album is going to be great. Hopefully they'll continue to utilize Tabuchi more fully on it.

Which isn't to say that [i]birdy[/i] isn't totally great. Man, I fucking love "Love Supreme." Can you reference a jazz song and be any more different than it? And it's totally amazing!
But they definitely refined their new attack on [i]banging the drum[/i]. And it's fucking sweet. Can't wait for the new one.
