i'd love to compile everyone's pictures and reports from the whole tour and put it on the site. that would be awesome.
well. i went to caribbean lights and stayed there for all the shows. i think they were easily the best performance. i don't mean the other bands were worse or anything, just that the pillows had the most kick/spice/something in their act (i.e. the noodles were much more laid back in comparison). and i was surprised, there were a lot of actual fans there. people were already screaming when they came out to set up their equipment, and demands for 'she is perfect' and 'babiron tenshi no uta' abounded.
it was obvious that they were so happy to be there- manabe was GRINNING when he came out! he also went right up to the crowd and jammed on his guitar while everyone was reaching for him at least twice. and sawao dove into the audience in the middle of a song- so he ain't that old yet!! he was kinda pushed back on stage, i don't think there were enough people to support him. i wish i could have gotten a picture but it was too sudden. he also jumped onto a monitor like previously and couldn't quite get his footing but then the audience basically latched onto him so he wouldn't fall. someone was holding his thigh.
sawao said something to the effect that he believes good music has no borders, no races, and is timeless- and he was here to give us some good rock music.

he also gave the crowd a plea, putting his hands over his heart- 'if you are rich man, please buy our cds!'
set list!!
i think i can
ride on shooting star
carnival
dead stock paradise
terminal heaven's rock
little busters
sleepy head
last dinosaur
hybrid rainbow
advice
encore: blues drive monster
there were no encores at any other showcase i went to... they're working with a set amount of time and they have to allow time for the next band to set up. so i don't know if it was just because they were on last that it was okay, or if it was just because of the crowd reaction- everyone was chanting 'PILLOWS! PILLOWS!'.
i saw a couple of the people from the walkin' on the spiral dvd running around, one of them was filming. and i had no problem getting in with a wristband- people getting single admission had to wait some i think.
i sincerely hope you all get to see them live... it is worth every penny.
i'll add a few pictures to the same page as before (
http://kyokoscafe.net/pirouzu/sxsw) and put up the rest later (along with pics of the other bands).
edit: fixed set list. i copied it off the photo of the actual list instead of writing it down as they went.

also they were originally going to play instant music instead of little busters but it was crossed out. hehe.
