Red and blue were kickass. Everything went downhill from there. What are there now? Like, six thousand? And from what I've seen, they are rapidly running out of ideas...
I feel bad for the next generation of children to pick up a copy of the next generation of games. How depressing will their fate be, having to make the difficult decision of a starter pokemon out of the choices:

yeah Red abd Blue were soo cool! XD i was so additced to that game..and i did catch them all...(the first 151 anyway). I remember i did that so i could talk to some guy over in Celedon city just to see what he would give me and all he gave me was a certificate saying i caught them all and i'm a pokemon master. =|
and i guess i wasn't the only one who used the master ball to catch one of the rare birds the first time playing the game. XD

It got pretty old though, once everyone figured out the rare candy trick and had the same team...
1. LV 100 Venusaur
2. LV 100 Blastoise
3. LV 100 Charizard
4. LV 100 Zapdos
5. LV 100 Articuno
6. LV 100 Moltres
Sometimes switching out Moltres for Mewtwo...

Totally. When I saw my friends Lv. 78 Charizard rape my Lv. 100 Charizard, I realized something was up. So the next time I played it, I did it right.
I wish I hadn't traded in my Red, Blue, and Yellow (and GBC) for some stupid PS2 game I later traded in...
