I can't stand it. Rookie Jet is like part two of it, so lame.
Winona doesn't have enough going for it for me to like it or not like it, and TYMT, for me, isn't as compelling as it's opening beeps are leading you to believe. I really don't like the melody during the verses, it's just not a very interesting song.

winona is one of their amazing love songs. it's not all slow and laid back, it's an upbeat and amazing. the first time i listened to teh words, i was like "OMG this is a love song?"
thank you, my twilight - the beeps do not lead to believing it will be compelling. the amazing vocals/lead guitar/VERSE/chorus = WHOLE FUCKING SONG leads you to believe it will be amazing. the prechorus in particular is a real tear-jerker. "BABY, DOKO MADE DEMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

My favorite part of "TYMT" is at the end, when they keep those beeps running as the chord progression changes. It just sounds so great.

Me too. That's what I liked about it, and that's it. The song doesn't do anything at all for me. The first time I heard it, I was like, "hey, this is a cool start, this song could be interesting." Then the guitar kicks in, and it just sounds so lazy and lethargic. The emotion they're trying to convey doesn't hit with me, so there's really nothing else I can say.
I don't like this song.

Can someone who runs and maintains a pillows fansite have bad taste?
As for TYMT (the song), it does get drawn out and boring at some points, but it does have its charms. I do like the synth over the chords, but the "Baby, doko made demo" is my favorite part. It's like the one part of the song that invites you to just sing out along with it. Kind of like when Sawao sings "Aitai na" in Funny Bunny. But that's just one man's opinion.
Overall, though, the song's just not that appealing to me as a whole.

AWW.. You should take another try at listening to it. It's actually a very emotional and kick ass song.[/quote]
Agreed. And agreed on the rest, too.
By the way, your avatar is basically amazing.
