Manabe looked like he was squirting in his pants during that solo - he was really into it.

Letting the crowd sing was genious as well :shred:

the pillows need to transfer their Japan live show mentality of "Ok, these people know us, they know our discography" over to the US tours.

Guess what Sawao: We know what Fool on the Planet is, too. And we love it. For many of us, Please Mr. Lostman is one of the finest albums ever made. You played Tonight at one of your recent shows? Let us in on that! America's rabid pillows fans are just as hardcore as Japan's.

Sure the are legions of self-proclaimed otaku who'll never get past Ride on Shooting Star and Little Busters. But screw them, the true fans are who love the pillows the most - and it's a damn shame to limit their setlists based on "hardcore" being in the relative minority.

Presumption what kind of Sawao: We have known there is some idiot of the planet. And we love that. It is 1 year old of the best album where many, Lostman because of us is made. Tonight you played at one of your recent show? Permit that us! The ardent pillow fan of America is fair as hardcore as Japan. The star which is shot truly never and is the troop of self-proclaimed otaku which does not pass riding in a car of the small destructive person. But tightens those with the screw, the true fan the love pillow almost to be who, - as for that there is a relative small amount, the ugly shame where setlists is limited to "hardcore" it had been based, is.
in seriousness, though,how about this:

The わ reed it is: Also the American fan has known the thing of Fool ON the Planet. And we love that. The album which we love is Please Mr. Lostman and the other early album. First, in the live concert of Japan, "Tonight" and other early song were sung. In America, please sing the splendid song. As for mania we love the song of the "フリクリ", but the fan of most loves the song of former times. And, singing the song of former times in America, we ask.
lol

but it says:
"sawao: The American fans also know of Fool on the Planet. And we love it. Our favorite albums are Please Mr. Lostman and the other early ones. Recently in a concert in Japan, you sang "Tonight" and other old songs. Please sing those wonderful songs in America. The otakus love the songs from FLCL, but most of your fans love the older songs. As such, we beg you to play these older songs in America.

Somebody with connections want to send it to manabe or sawao?

As would be expected of me to request, can you throw in something about more Smile/TYMT songs?

I think that the first big step would be to flood him with emails about how much we love older stuff.

Once they know that we really love more than just FLCL, they'd be more likely to play the songs they like rather than just what they think we want to hear.

If I could get a team going for this, we could send multiple emails with all the same gist, worded differently: 'NEXT TIME PLAY BETTER SONGS PLZTHXK.'
I'm serious about this idea.

Couldn't we just contact them through the Delicious Label website? Or on the BBS on the pillows official web? :eh:

i could post on the japanese BBS.
I don't know if it'd help.

I've tried emailing in Japanese to them about stuff before and just got ignored. But I would definitely be willing to try again. If we could get a lot of people to send this sort of email, they might pay attention. I could make like five or six different versions and then we could send them all under the subject "American Fans" or "America" or "American Concerts"

Hmm, it sounds like Jun changed up the bass part a little on Trip Dancer.

Yeah, I mentioned that earlier. I kindof like it. Manabe's Jagmaster doesn't sound quite as good on Trip Dancer - though it may just be the shitty flash video. And Sato really attacks the drums at the end of this song :shred:

Don't just focus on Please Mr. Lostman. Make it a more general statement about their entire discography. Or maybe not send them the letter at all and let them play what they want.
