Concerning the recent keikaku review of the new album - how in the world was Sun Sun Sun disappointing?
I mean, it didn't have the cohesive album feel of Second Fanfare and, in turn, acted as more of a collection of songs, but those songs were goddamned GREAT.

No, that guy just doesn't like good music. It's understandable. He is a douche after all.

I could use this kind of logic to explain away everything.

How the hell is Baka Yarou so bad? What's the reasoning behind that? The reviewer makes it out to be some hell-spawn of a terrible song.
I thought it was pretty catchy.

i like it. the reviewer was ridiculously harsh. but, then again, that seems to be the hip thing to do. the state paper in idaho: the entertainment review guy was rough on everything except for stuff that everybody i knew thought sucked. he praised things that most people referred to as "a steaming pile of shit" while tearing apart anything that i had heard was amazing.
edit: heart stuck out. that's a very good closing song. "my heart is that girl's heart."

I also have to disagree with the keikaku review. I thought this CD was a pretty decent output.
I really like Distortion Blues Boy, ANGRY MAN, DANCE QUEEN, and Generation-X.
The rest of the songs on the album are pretty solid in my eyes.
So, I have no idea where this guy is coming from.
BTW, Baka Yarou is catchy as hell. I'll admit it sounds like a lot of their other songs, isn't very original, and probably shouldn't have been the single off this album. But it's not that bad.

I haven't heard any of the new album yet, but if this guy thinks Sun Sun Sun was a "disappointment", he needs to get his head checked.

It comes with the arrogance gained from being a music reviewer, and the notion because you're a reviewer people will actually give a shit about what you're talking about.
But I don't blame him though, especially when you're among the hearing impaired.
I'm sure it's really hard to hear anything with your head so far up your own ass.

Oh, and another thing that surprised me. The reviewer stating how Second Fanfare was the best thing Sparta Locals ever put out.
I may be in the minority here, but...I think Dreamer and Sun Sun Sun are MUCH better than Second Fanfare.
