The main problem I have with the system itself is the price of the controllers. 
Its a really great system, I'm a bit annoyed at the fact that Nintendo pushed back Twilight Princess for the GameCube just get more people to buy it for the Wii.

Movies are released on DVD in some countries sooner than others, because films don't premiere in theatres worldwise simultaneously. Region encoding prevents people in, say, Europe, where a particular movie may not have premiered yet or is still making the rounds in movie theatres, from buying an American DVD. It's pretty much a mechanic imposed by the conglomerate movie industry to protect their assets and ensure they make even more money than they already do by inconveniencing a small (and probably in their eyes, inconsequential) cross-section of their customer base, and making it illegal to circumvent the region encoding measures they've put into place.
Apparently, this also extends to game systems, though as I'm not a console gamer, I've no experience with that realm.

Has anyone seen any Wii commercials yet? I haven't, but I've seen that weird PS3 one with the baby a whole bunch. [i]That[/i] sells a $600 system, how, again? Then again, I was in EB the other day, and a mom was talking to the clerk about the price of the PS3, when he told her that Nintendo's system is $250. She went  , turned to her little kids and said, "How about the new Nintendo system?" 
No point breaking your bank account now for something that won't be fully utilized until a year or two later, anyways. When there are a large number of amazing games to play on it, then I will consider it. Right now, the only incentive to buy it is [i]status.[/i] "Wow, he's got a PS3! HOLY CRAP, SEX ME NOW!!!1!11!"
