Hmm. Well Conor Oberst used to live about three hours away from me. He went to the same high school as my dad. I'm kind of ashamed of this, however.

my favorite local San Diego band is "the red sky"
i've known one of the guys since Kindergarten...those were the good ol' days....when school consisted of finger paiting and making things out of play-dough...but yeah...his band is pretty good.

You're right, since every blasted link is broken.
Even the freaking "contact" link is broken, so I can't even complain.

There's movies on the main page, though. The sound's bad, so unfortunately you won't get a great impresison of how they sound.

I'll try it anyway.
I saw some clip of their new drummer
and I was taken back by the stupidity of it all.

Minneapolis bands to hit the big time are Prince, Soul Asylum, Husker Du, Morris Day and the Time and Marcy Playground just to name a few.
If you like O P King check out www.hillbillyvoodoodolls.com. They are a really great rock and blues band and their bass player is one hell of a nice guy.

The Seattle music scene is mostly a bunch of horny indie/emo kids
But anyways, I happen to like Pistol for a Paycheck... and Daphne Loves Derby (http://www.daphnelovesderby.com) who are horribly emo but the lead singer is Korean (who IMO has the loveliest voice ever) and he's a friend of mine >_>; and lets me go in his car and listen to unreleased songs that they just recorded in the studio... yay
