a few people started yelling freebird.... every damn concert lol
i yelled daydream wonder...
and buffalo soldier as a joke
and manabe looked over
so i yelled nine miles- shoulda yelled a song like heart is there but hes not gonna play it anyways- and well the fact that you need alot more than a guitar to play his tunes
Yeah, the people that started the freebird stuff were behind me (by thr front of the bar)... I guess its suppose to be ok, but I thought it was so rude... I didn't hate the people though because of the comments they made about secret.

Secret was.... sooooooo, god-aweful!! I know my opinion is baist because I don't like visual-kei, but it was horrible! I guess it did bring viraity, but it was bad, and it was hilarious with how the lead singer was (especially when he was trying to speak japanese)

Unfortunately I missed Lemon Drop Kick, waiting in line outside. It sucked so much, they should have made Secret play first, it was torture to have to hear them. The others were ok, but I was thinking "could you at least play your songs and not some anime/jrock service song please!!" I sear, the luna sea, l'arc, and anime service was annoying for me. Which was a shame because they played well... though the japanese singer from the bay aliens could not do Gotoh's voice (lead from Asian Kung-fu) to save his life.
Well I just got back today (Sunday) from SF, that was totally worth the 10.5 hr drive. Man Sawao is a badass/rockstar, and man Secretsecret sucked ass dookies. Terra I think I saw you. You were wearing the black 916 shirt right? I shouted "Terra?" but Pepopo went unheard.
Summary: I really liked the Pillow's 2 songs from My Foot (amongst everything else of course); I'd have like to have heard some stuff from Smile (Thunder Whales Picnic); and finally: for all of the FLCL people who make the Pillows play the same songs all the time, at least learn the words to the chorus. People were barely singing along at all.
Oh yeah, Beautiful Morning With You was incredibly awesome.
I think I remember you there (if you were the one to say you were from Utah). You also reminded me of how all after the pillows played my foot people were all like "Oh wow, MY FOOT is a really good song!" and I was just thinking in my head, that's why I wanted them to play it, and play something new/post FLCL. (Though there was a 99% chance that they would)

The concert and everything was just awesome! I think Sawao is one of the few people that can take broken engrish and turn it beyond cool! Beyond James Bond Cool! Everything he said got the croud so hyped that he could barely speak!

I will say, and pardon my language, but I glad to stopped those freakin' "european decendent" teenager guys from moshing. It was annoying, plus some of them looked like the anime otaku guys too! :? I won't ramble too much, but it was no where near as bad as what I heard happen at the LA show! That guy deserves to be shot! (well, not really)

I also was surprised by the number of Reverse Scalpers there! I'm glad I bought my tickets in May, but sheesh, there were so many people trying to buy them that I wish that I bought some extras to sell for like $50 bucks. :D

That concert was so- good though!
-----------------------------------------------

I forgot to say, though, that one thing that impressed me is that the Pillows remembered all of their songs, or at least that's how they made it seem. Although I don't play an instrument, I was just impressed that they could memorize even the older ones because of how long they've been around, how much they have, and how complicated they can be! Plus they must have been exhausted too to play as much as they did!

Plus seeing Manabe playing guitar was awesome! He certainly looked like he was in Nine Miles mode, as much as he was into it! However, yeah, he was so great! Jun was too, I think Jun should just join their band already! (But I guess he's still committed to the other)

They played 4 My Foot songs :P Aside from My Foot and the Third Eye, they also played Rock'N'Roll Sinners (between Come Down and I Think I Can) and the Air Resistor (between I Think I Can and Funny Bunny)

I remember a long time ago people said Jun was in another band from Delicious Label, and was just a temp basist for the Pillows. If he's not then I say that's more reason for him to officially join.

Oh right! I was thrown off by the fact that they said "here's some of our new stuff." Then they played 2 songs from My Foot in a row; now I recall the other two.

I talked to Nikita after the show for about 20 minutes. He told me that he had just passed the Pillows' dressing room and that they were all vegging out on a couch in their boxers! Now that would make a great poster. Nikita gave me one of his "ghetto demo" discs. He's really talented. He writes and performs all of the music in the recording. (including [but not exclusive to] drums, bass, guitar, violin, oboe, and keyboard)

And Bell02, I was one of the two guys from Utah (the taller one). Did I speak with you?

Heh, I had seen you then. I was kinda nearby and heard half of your conversation with him just before my ride came.

I was hanging around the stage after the show and the stage guys threw some of their stuff to the people. I caught Sawao's guitar pick!

Me and my friend got to talk to Miyako of Lemon Drop Kick.

I liked the band that came after LDK but I wish they would've played more of their own songs. And I didn't care much for Secretsecret.

I don't think so, maybe to a friend of mine, I just remember when that guy was asking who came the futhest and that was one of the futhest travelled I remember.

That was cool, but he exaggerated a lot, and obviously was clueless on what was going on outside when he was most likely "chillin'" in the club! :P

there were at least some people excited about the other bands (even secret secret- some girls up front were going nuts over the flowers the guy was handing out) but i would say most people were there to see exactly one band. no other band got anywhere near the reaction that the pillows got. as soon as they walked out to set up their equipment (and there was a screen to partially hide them from the crowd too), the screaming started. things were crazy up front pretty much the whole time the pillows played.

i think the show would have been better if the order was secret secret, that cover band, lemon drop kick and then the pillows.

yep... i totally didn't hear you.

I agree 100%, I know secret Secret would have gotten angry, and they look like the type that can get disgruntled easy, but who cares! That would have been a better order!

Yeah, that would have made a lot more sense.
