Just got home after dropping off Kaze, lawls.

Anyway, I'mma let the night process through my head 'cause I'm tired as hell, but yeah, a few highlights:

Crazy ass night.
Long ass line.
Crowded as hell.
Sawao got pissed!
Propose
Broadcaster played Eleking!
Met Wired and Jedi, along with Tofu and Seto (two lurkers/rare posters, from what I gathered).
Greatest. Fucking. Show. I've. Been. To.

Broadcaster's Eleking cover was amazing.

Jun was really happy when he heard it. Sawao was enjoying the hell out of the song as well.

It really was a great surprise, I figured Jun would be happy as hell when he heard it. Sawao rocking out to it at the upper tier, oh man, that was excellent.

The show kinda left a bitter taste in my mouth, due to that asshole who jumped on the stage in the middle of Ride on Shooting Star.
Other than that, it was FANTASTIC  . I'm very disappointed that they decided not to sign autographs though...almost lost MY FOOT today, all for nothing.

PROS:
+They're the fucking pillows.
+Propose!!
+Awesome crowd gave an awesome welcome
+Third Eye live
+Not caring how tired, sore, hot and sweaty you are
+"Maybe I die soon."
CONS:
-That one asshole
-I didn't get to meet them or get MY FOOT signed
-I didn't get to show them my hat
-The first 3 hours were hit or miss...mostly miss

@ Jedi: I was waiting to hear you yell for Swanky Street, but I didn't hear it. It was probably due to the fact that I couldn't hear anything very well after a while. I did start chanting Swanky Street at one point, but it was moments before the crowd erupted into applause. :|

@ Everyone Who Was Supposed To Meet at Subway: Where were you guys? I was there until 6:10 and nobody showed up. I left for about 10 minutes and then came back to check, and no one was there...

dizzy. tired. got home. puked. it was only when i started breathing normal air that i started getting sick. my clothes are still drenched. showered though. pretty sure i lost like 5lbs through sweat.

sucks what that idiot did on stage..sawao just grabbed his guitar strap and dropped his newly decorated Cyclone to chase after him. Cesar had a good detailed account of it which i would screw up retelling so wait for his post.

Jun was really happy too (I was on that side of the audience). He seemed to really enjoy himself (almost like the night was just for him. and he got lots of cheers from the crowd).

I must really thank Omar (from Tijuana!) and his friends for letting me get up front and helping me through the rough crowd.

i've got pictures which i'll get up later this week, but plz do not post any pictures of me here or on any blog/myspace/etc. I could get in trouble if found out. thnx~

Ahh, I was around the corner in the line. Wasn't wearing my hat, because it was too damn hot out. Once inside I was on the balcony up until Broadcaster started playing. Met a forum-lurker named Kevin there (Hope you enjoyed yourself! :) ). After that I was around the right side of the crowd about 15 feet from Manabe. I ran into Jedi by chance, but other than that I didn't meet anyone from here.

It was an amazing show. They were incredible. Propose was good, too!

Cons...

-Dehydration
-Terrible openers
-And, the big one... the two absolute assholes that jumped on stage during the performance. The first asshole got up and shook hands with the band and otherwise bothered them... this was in between songs, if I recall correctly. To that guy I say, "WTF?" What kind of an idiot jumps up on stage and bothers the band in the middle of their set? I wanted to choke the guy. And where the HELL were the venue's bouncers?? He was up there for like 20-30 seconds! But he wasn't the bad one.

In the middle of Ride on Shooting Star, this second (much larger) asshole leaps on stage and grabs Sawao's guitar as well as a towel from the stage. The guitar hits the floor as Sawao chases the guy off the stage. According to another IM poster who I overheard after the show, Sawao yelled something like the Japanese equivalent of "What the hell do you think you're doing?" Manabe gave the guy the finger, too. Sawao slowly went back to the guitar and tuned it, made sure it wasn't busted. After what felt like a few minutes of the crowd wondering in silent apprehension what was going to happen next, Sawao gets up and says "We are still friends." And everyone cheered, but everyone freaking hates that asshole of a "fan" for what he did.

I'm not sure why, but the venue dropped the ball big-time on this. They're supposed to be able to protect the band when stuff like this happens, with bouncers and like, people who would take these riffraff out to the street when they try stuff like this. They got one guy out there to watch for further interruption after the two jerks had done their damage, but it was too late.

To make matters worse, this idiot shows up after the show to meet the band in person! I was waiting in line to get my Living Field signed (which eventually did happen, but was jeopardized by this moron) and this guy was right in front of me (though I didn't realize it at the time since I didn't really see what he'd looked like). He goes up and gives Sawao the stupid towel he'd taken from the stage and said something like "It was me, I did it." They didn't realize what he meant for a second, and then he put his sweater's hood up and Sawao was like "It was you!"

After a few seconds of silence, the guy says, "Yeah, I feel like shit right now." Then, a big dude who was with Sawao (some sort of manager I imagine) totally lays the smack on this guy. He said something (laced with profanity) about how this had totally disrespected and insulted the pillows, and the guy should get down on his knees and apologize. The jerk gets this intense look in his eyes and after a few seconds of motionlessness, he has the gall to get in the manager's face and say "I don't kneel down for nobody." Then he storms off and hits the wall and screams. I think the manager-guy followed him and cussed him out a bit more.

Sawao had already thrown the towel to the ground, and at this point told us that it was time for them to go and no more autographs would take place. The urge to murder that crazed idiot rose anew in everyone's hearts.

Fortunately, after we hung around timidly for a while (they were packing up a van), they gave us autographs and pictures. Just like when I met them last year, they're really nice guys. I just can't comprehend what these idiots were thinking when they ran up on the stage while the pillows were playing, unless it was something like "Oh look at me, I'm a dumbass interrupting this performance, I like attention."

I just hope this doesn't reflect badly on us American fans in general. I don't want to be lumped into the same boat as these horrible people who have absolutely no consideration or respect for the band (or the audience, or probably anything else at all). I hope this didn't offend the band as deeply as the manager said when he was berating the jerk (something along the lines of "What you did was like taking a shit in [Sawao's] face, you have disrespected him as a Japanese man."). No real fan (or any considerate human being) would do anything like that, and it kills me that people like this had to show up at this concert.

That person really needs to rethink his life. If he'd just apologized and admitted his stupidity, everything would have been OK. But no, he had to get indignant and arrogant when he had absolutely no excuse for what he did. He totally screwed up, and he should have sincerely apologized for it. He had the chance to do so, and he practically spat in their face.

I am really disappointed that this happened because the show was SO great. This really put a blemish on the overall evening.

Pics coming within a few days (gotta sleep and drive to SF!).

edited for clarity.
