Nah, but I consider it to be good. I think everything from PML to TYMT is pretty ace.
"]
Happy Bivouac, Please Mr. Lostman, and Living Field are their best albums, IMO, with HB being my personal favorite, so I'd lean toward that. Getting Smile wouldn't be bad, either, though.
Smile better be 4th on your list.
Not necessarily! There are easily other possibilities. Think about it.

It's hard for me to pick between those two.
Happy Bivouac has Last Dinosaur and some other good songs. But Moon Gold has Ame ni Utaeba, Kiss Me baby, Halo Girl etc...
All preference.

"some other good songs"? All other good songs!
Anyway, it is purely about personal preference. While I think that we can all agree that MOON GOLD and HAPPY BIVOUAC are both good, they are also very different styles. I prefer HAPPY BIVOUAC.

Happy Bivouac has... HAPPY BIVOUAC! The guitars in that song are mesmerizing. Funny Bunny.. Carnival... Last Dinosaur... Kim Deal... Rush...
excuse me while I relieve all this tension.

I'd take Smile anyday over the three, because of KYnHM, MONSTER C.C., Hibi no Uta, and Smile. It's a really great experimental album.

Well, I like the booklet art a lot...
Between HB and SMILE, they are both great choices. I love every track on both albums except for two on each. On HB, I don't like our love and peace and advice as much. On Smile, I absolutely LOATHE skim heaven and Fun cubed OK! gets pretty irritating, but apart from those two, it's terrific and unique.
Good Dreams has some great songs too, like Sono mirai wa ima, new year's eve and GOOD DREAMS. It's 36 minutes long, so it's a little bit shorter than most of the other albums. It's not a terrible record, it just seems like the songs were banged out too quickly. Maybe a little more time in their heads and you stood there like an angel, frontiers, and rosy head would have been much better.

Damn Jomei, when did you start forming opinions I agreed with? I must've not been paying attention.
Every song on Happy Bivouac is solid. Smile's a good album overall, but a bit weak in places. Happy Bivouac is, of course, full of songs that the average pillows fan is more likely to have heard than anything on Smile, so I guess there's that.

It'd be really cool if they used the same tactics to record smile on their other albums
smile has such a warm feel to it.
