The problem is, I'm also sure there are a lot of people who will thus go on standby, looking for these people. I advise you make arrangements beforehand, ESPECIALLY if you're travelling a long distance.
didn't think of that
i know this is off the subject, but overburn, do you ever go to the westchester county fair? I remember going there a few times when i was a kid. Ah the autistic clowns, the paryplegic farm animals, the boring ass hay rides... Those days made me the man i am today.
well, actually, I've never heard of westchester. google maps says its rather far away from rochester.

Why don't you just use his camera?
Anyway, as an almost-completely unrelated sidenote to Overburn, the University of Rochester (saying this because he lives in Rochester) was one of the schools I applied to. I was actually given a lot of money to go, but with college costs these days, I had to go with the full ride.
But it's really beautiful up there, but the torturous winters kind of scared me.

I have 1 maybe 2 extra tickets, $25 a piece. I can mail it to you before the show, too.

I'm probably going to be put on the guest list, as is one of my friends so I may have 1-2 tickets to sell. It's not for sure so don't blame me if you go all the way for nothing.

It'll be even worse next year.

Excuse me for trying to recoup the money I already spent on the 6 tickets I already bought, plus the $20+ I had to pay in service charges. I already have to take 2 days less pay at my job and spend over $100 to get to New York. And I don't work for Ticketweb either, so it's really not my responsibility to provide tickets in the first place; I'm going to go out of my way to get a ticket to someone who needs it.
Taking that into account, I think $25 is a pretty good deal to ensure that you have access to a concert before you travel X amount of hours to get there. So please refrain from giving me any shit about it, thanks.

Technically, you also need to get rid of the tickets as well - unless you were planning on an expensive bon fire. So it's not really like you're "going out of your way."
Anyway, I don't think that $25 is a bad deal (rather, it's a great deal/opportunity), but the thing is that I don't think it's the nicest thing to do to a fellow pillows fan.
All in all, I don't really blame him.

of course you can charge whatever you want as long as someone is willing to pay for it, and $25 isn't that ridiculous (tickets were ~$18 after fees, for reference). but look at it another way- the person buying the ticket from you is doing YOU a favor (assuming it's the case you're selling the tickets because a friend couldn't make it).
while i understand your intent may not be to simply profit off your fellow fans, it's hard to be sympathetic considering many fans can't afford to get to a show at all.
and i'm at least hoping that it doesn't get out of hand in general.

sold out already?
Well that's great, after I finalize my plans and check for tix, they are gone. If anyone has 2-3 tickets I'd gladly buy them for a reasonable price. I can't believe I didn't order my ticket earlier...
