Yeah. The pillows are flying to America just to play in Mexico and New York.

There's definitely going to be other dates. How many, where and when I don't know. I have no idea if they will be playing Boston, LA, Seattle, Minneapolis, ect... All though I would ASSUME Seatlle is at least a fair bet considering Stereo Future is from there. All I know is they are trying to get an all ages show booked in Chicago, there I said it, but DON'T count your chickens kids. They are having some venue/date issues and may have to settle for an over 21 venue if they get a show booked there at all. As soon as I find out anything, I will let you guys know as I'm sure other's will too. Hell you guys could find out before I do.

Fine by me. I'm 21. Me & Shin-chan having a beer. Oh how much fun that would be.

If there was a show in Chicago, and it was 21 and over, I would either a) find the nearest oncoming car to throw myself in front of or b) find myself a fake I.D. I'm turning 20 in August... still not quite good enough for a 21 and up show. At least my girlfriend would get to go.

It's much more stylish to throw yourself in front of one of the trains.

An all ages show is definitely prefered by the band. However, if they don't stop dragging their asses and give the agent a date, they'll be lucky to get an open street corner.

TENATIVE schedule as follows.
June 17. Mexico Circo Volador.
June 18. Mexico Circo Volador.
June 20. Chicago.
June 22. NY The Knitting Factory.
June 24. Seattle The crocodile cafe.
June 25 or 26. SF or LA.
June 26 or 27. SF or LA.
The shows that are all set are the Mexico shows, Seattle and as you can see, the NY show(s) has been moved to June 22nd. It will be in the mainball room of the Kintting Factory rather than the smaller room it/they were originally going to be at. The Chicago gig has not found a venue quite yet and apparently niether has the SF, LA shows.
THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. I will let you guys know when I find out more information. In the mean time, keep an eye out for those west coast venues. Those I am not directly involved in setting up so you guys may have better luck finding out about those than I do. I will however keep you posted if I find out anything else or it there are any changes.

I refuse to do any work, but I would be delighted to go to such a show.

Mellie, I love you to death. ...such a shame it has to be at the Croc though. Grr...I really hope it's all ages, too.
Thanks for the update.

Yeah. But we don't have a whole lot in the central midwest here aside from Chicago.

Sorry - I lurk but hardly ever have time to post. Here is the deal:
Mellie is right about everything. Poor Chie - things are really difficult right now. Those are the dates and locations. It is really F-ING hard to get any US venues to book the pillows because they don't care about doing any homework and all they want is to make easy money. The best way to do that is to go though known booking agents and rape local acts. the pillows have/are neither.
That said - count yourselves lucky if the SF and LA dates happen. Someone is busting their ass and stressing out like mad not wanting to be the guy that fails at getting the pillows to the southern west coast.
More info to come. Thanks.

How is Mellie this endless, up-to-date cauldron of accurate Pillows-oriented knowledge? Amazing. Some kind of industry insider?
