Revolution is going to outbuy fucking PS3 and XBox. People want more bang for their buck nowadays. But God, I hate people who care about graphics all the time.

I don't like the idea of asking for "the wii" outloud.

I think it's funny how Nintendo has garnered so much word of mouth publicity on the 'net. I mean, really, you can't buy this sort of media exposure. Part of it migh tbe that they allowed the name "Revolution" to become entrenched in the minds of people, and then changed it to something outrageous like "Wii."
Yup.

I like it. Revolution just sounds too cocky.
Not really, It is a fucking gaming Revolution.
Even if it is the truth, it's still only a US marketable name. Sure, all the Nintendo fan-boys want the new system to dominate, to completely own the holiday season, to finally bring Nintendo "back to number 1", and they want to keep Revolution because it's a manifestation of those ideals. But Nintendo knows that there is more to it than just appeasing America. You will get used to it. It's just like "Google", "ipod", "Napster". Global identification is extremely important. So if the fan-boys want to whine and bitch, thinking that a fucking name is going to sink the whole ship and bankrupt the company, they can go ahead. Because the Wii isn't just for them, it's for everyone, including them. They will realize this soon enough.
Yes, Smash Bros. online will be awesome.

Let's look at the classic model of middle school: one kid might have not done something, say, gotten herpies from the goth chick. Yet this kid does not have herpes nor had sex with the goth chick. Yet, the other kids tease him with such things. It's enough to ruin the kid's life.
"Wii" is enough for kids to not buy it.

Bill Gates before it's released: "Ah they call it Wii, should be called the Wii-wii. It will fail. Now I must eat gold. Nyah ha ha!"
Bill Gates after it's released: "Err...um...uh...HEY LOOK OVER THERE!!!" (runs away)
Strange name; but will win in the end.

I'm still buying the system. Even if the name is strange.
Can't wait for E3.

I need to get a feel for the controller first before I spend any moneys on it. That's what's really going to matter to alot of people.

All magazine editors and online video game publications are absolutely enthralled by the controller.

It's because of what you can do with it. I was talking more about the ergonmics of the thing.
I'm still in love with my N64 controller. GCN's fits fine, too.

Games were shown.
Twilight Princess with the Wii remote looks fun. And Metroid Prime 3: Corruption looks promising as well.

I'm still fucking pissed about Twilight Princess. I pre-ordered it right before it was announced they had moved it back. Now they do something like naming a system the We. I'm not saying I won't buy it. But I will erase that word off of it.
