TWINE was actually a pretty fun game, I thought. Not as good as Goldeneye, but..

If they remade it I would buy it.

as far as first person shooter influence goes, id say:
doom>goldeneye>jedi knight>half life>halo.
(chronilogically, not 'greater than')
these are the roots of every fps made today. with good reason.

Goldeneye was ultimate. I wish I still had pictures of me playing with 2 controllers. That was my best controller config.
Yea.
Great game, until Perfect Dark came out and completely destroyed it.
Dual CMP 150's will mow through EVERYTHING in multiplayer. As for Goldeneye, I liked the automatic shotguns, the Phantom, and the other machine gun you get on the cruise ship. It's kinda awkward to go from playing PD to GE, because of the way you take damage in GE. You get kills a lot quicker in PD.
Aztec temple on 007, frickin' HARD. Especially the big room when you come out of the vent. Even if you try to play it safe and edge out to pick them off one by one, they will hit you cheaply for crazy damage with those damn lasers.
I was always Boris.

I loved them, if only because I'm an RCP-90 whore.

I seem to remember an easy way to beat trevelyan, involving the segment when he's at the bottom of the ramp catwalks firing up at you. I believe you can go down the other side and catch him off guard, looking up the ramp when you are actually on the same level as him. You get a few rounds off, he runs up the ramp. Rinse and repeat. (gamer mag staple)
I think the source of my hatred for the aztec level is that damn huge room, as well as when you are trying to climb the huge ladder to activate the rocket, you are wide open for such a long time. I like the way it starts, though.
Getting the invincibility cheat in the bunker is nuts. The st. petersburg office level was crazy hard too, but it didn't feel impossible. The most annoying cheat to get for me was the statue graveyard level. Frequent corner cutting, going through conversations with people, running like hell from the shotgun crazies, etc. But the worst part was that after the helicopter explodes, the damn flight recorder lands in a random location. If you don't get lucky and find it immediately, then you're screwed. I'd rather lose to an incredible challenge over a tedious running puzzle with a "blind luck or bust" finale.
I don't remember the caverns being so tough; the control room definately, but not the caverns.

Some of the best cheats are impossible. I don't have Invisibility, Invincibility, and some other good ones like 2x RCP-90s. Gold PP7 is easy to get though.
