I knew that was a bad idea . . . lol
Kozumou, I am well aware that both bands' names are written in all lowercase letters. I guess I like to be able to discern between a comfortable thing I rest my head on when I sleep, and a j-rock band, despite knowing the "correct spelling" of each bands' name. Oh and if you really wanted to be hardcore about it, Hybrid Rainbow was originally written in katakana, IIRC.
Are you planning on attending one of their live shows? If so, I'd just like to offer some friendly advice: as you can tell by people's general reaction to your post (lol again), not many people care about trivial matters like these. In fact, I'm sure you'll run into a lot of more casual fans who aren't even on Instant Music, and drunk people who don't even know who The Pillows are. My advice to you is just let that stuff slide, man. It's not worth fussing over.
The point is, whether I type "the pillows", "The pillows", "The Pillows", or "Th3 PILLOWZ" you know who and what I am talking about.
Oh well, you're right. I do know what you're talking about, and that's why I usually don't correct people, but I'm just like that for some reason (a manic perfectionist). It really annoys people, and I'm sorry, and I know that other people don't care about it (for instance, I know a lot of people who tend to just type everything in lowercase, no matter what it is, like terra), but I like things like that to be perfect, whether it actually matters or not. I get on my family's nerves all the time (in a joking way) when I correct them in grammar. Of course, they and my close friends are the only ones I'd do it to, because they know me, and we joke about it, and they know that it doesn't really matter. I also have this terrible habit of rambling on and talking about nothing (or at least nothing that anyone else cares about), and I'm sorry for that, too, so I'll shut up now.
Since I live in PA, it's only gonna be a 6 hour drive. All I have to handle is money for the hotel (and parking) and if I want to go to both shows or not. Hopefully I'll be able to accrue around $500 in two months. I'm very excited for this. It'd be really awesome if they had a Philadelphia venue, because my dad has family in Allentown, which is around an hour away. No hotel! It would be cool if they came to Pittsburgh, but I doubt it. The only time I've ever been out of state was when I had to go to West Virginia for a wedding. Even then, it was only ten minutes in. This will be a very interesting experience.
good luck then bro.

No.
For a little more clarification, the correcting grammar thing is generally offline (except possibly jokingly with my close friends/family; I was not joking here, just correcting the band names at least, in case anyone didn't know—I figured that, if you (referring to a general anyone) do, then oh well, do whatever you want (I'll never mention this again), but I just wanted to inform you if you didn't know), and the rambling is online.

Well basically the lesson learned here is that people are annoyed by long explanations of corrections. Otherwise you get "tl;dr". That about sums it up.

On a serious note, me and a friend might actually be going. Maybe we can compile a list of everyone who will be attending. When do you recommend I get tickets by? I might have trouble clearing plans if you suggest anything earlier than May 2, so I'd like to be sure they'll still have tickets by then.

I would buy tickets asap just to make sure they don't sell out. If you don't have to money right now, you can just ask your parents and tell them you will pay them back.
