Post Sheet music symbol question.
Sorry about this useless post, but I'm having trouble on this one symbol. I couldn't even get an answer from Google.

The symbol is an "g." Here's an example:

At first I thought it was a quarter rest. I'm not too sure, some of the locations I find it in are odd.

I don't know what the g stands for, but it looks like a slide or possibly a bend.

With the new band score book and all...this would be a great topic to post questions about unknown notation and symbols.

I would say glissando, and hence preferentially a bend, alternatively a slide.

But what's with the six-line staff? I am unfamiliar.

No, that's my fault. I made that in Paint, and pasted an extra line by mistake.

I have an unknown symbol: too lazy to put up a pic, but it looks like a percent sign, for those with the band score, it occurs in numerous places, but just look at the first song, Swanky Street, its on guitar 2, 3 measures in...

Yeah I assumed it had something to do with a repeat, but needed clarification. Thank you very much.

Could someone explain what it means when
the music note is a diamond w/a line, instead of the normal dot?

(the tab number has a diamond around it too)
