X-Play is the only show I really watch of G4 anymore. Even on that show they do too many stupid jokes and cut to other stupid videos during reviews, kinda like Family Guy. I watched TechTV a lot though.

Anyone remember when X-Play was called extended play and was hosted by Adam Sessler and some red haired old lady? (she left later and it was just Adam)

Ah, yes. I remember.

Even when it was changed to X-Play, it was tolerable...But now the reviews are the most acted, poorly scripted pieces of crap I've ever seen for a televised game review. How about we get the actual opinions of the hosts, and not some joke-riddled, laugh-a-second mess? The editors have wayyy too much fun. Adam and Morgan have lost all originality they once may have had. I don't even know who the hell their target audience is anymore.

Hah! The sad thing is is that it's really G4's only TECH show, other than what...Call For Help?

G4 was supposed to be a "return" to a technology-based TV network. Now AOTS has devoured any sort of technical content that was once in The Screen Savers, and replaced it with pop-culture, lame internet-culture, crappp....I'm too tired to think any more about why G4 just sucks so hard.

Oh, one more thing - Trying to bait people into thinking they're all "tech/geek" by airing episodes of Star Trek. That's probably the weakest rated show on G4. Bet none of the hosts of any of their shows are even mildly into Star Trek.

splinter cell co-op theater is pretty sweet. It's like ten times better than red vs blue.

Her name is Kate Botello. She was part of the original crew from ZDTV/early TechTV along with Adam Sessler and Leo Laporte.

I used to be a Morgan Webb fanboy so I was glad when she started doing X-play. They always had great reviews, but now the show is filled with too much "comedy" that always seems abrupt and unneccesary. They're still good people, but they let the show get out of hand.

I've seen a preview of that show, why is Rinoa Heartilly from FF8 in it? I thought it looked funny from the preview, but wow, that's not much of a show. I've seen Cromartie High on AU, but I'm on the fence whether I like it or not. Yeah, they just play RahXephon a lot now, which isn't a bad thing. I have the RahXephon soundtrack, but I haven't gotten around to listening to it. (I bought the Paranoia Agent OST the same day, listened to that one first. )

I don't think AOTS is terrible... Although Kevin Peirera annoys me to no end with his constant e-talk, and how he's constantly mentioning his faux-hawk and how much he digs it.

Electric Playground is BORING. Julie from RW New Orleans works there now, which I'm glad she escaped from MTV's clutches, but still, it's a dumb show. Every time she goes on those RR RW challenges, the following happens:

1. People hate her
2. Said people make her cry
3. She loses
4. She goes crazy and puts someone in danger

Cinematech typically annoys the hell out of me, X-Play would be alright if Morgan wasn't always so moody. Judgement Day does have a pretty good balance on reviewing, but they play X-Play about 3 times as much. Out of Five is such a crappy way to review something, what about the percents Out of Five doesn't cover?

Seriously, nowadays X-Play is total bullshit. I swear, it's like they've completely stopped reviewing games period or something. I see stupid, worthless games on there all of the time, but I never see stuff like Suikoden and whatnot.

And WTF is a god-damned 3 out of five? Are these sub-par to average to above average? Is a four a good game? Is five pure win? WHAT, I ASK, WHAT!?

AOTS is pretty weak. Kevin Rose over the other Kevin. Judgment day was where it was at. Tommy Talarico said it like it was man. G4 needs more of that guy. Cinematech used to be okay, but they've even screwed that up recently. Street Fury was cancelled for a reason. Kristin Holt = useless.

Seriously, with Cheat, how come they air the same six episodes all of the god-damned time?! Can't they show cheats for older games or something?! Damn, I swear...

G4's only saving grace is Happy Tree Friends & Friends and the Adventures of Bob and Steve.

Ugh...Anime Unleashed. The merge just killed everything. Including Diane Whatsherface. Oh, and that one show with Martin Sergeant.

i admit there is some wasted talent on that network. even some of the guys on the x-play staff, (especially Micheal Leffler aka drunk link, stan lee experience dude or whatever, grabnar).

but if you look hard enough, you should be able to find everyone who used to be on techtv doing their own podcast shows. Martin Sargeant does Infected, Laura Swisher does um, weezy and the swish, and i forget where diane mizota is.

G4 sucks now..its the truth. They don't give atleast one good decent video game show. They show shouldn't even be consider a video game show. AOTS talks about the internet videos most of the time. Atleast 10minutes of video game talk. Kevin he is annoying. Talks to much..pointless...

What happen to the shows where you actuallly learned about videogames. I miss Judgement day in deed 10 of 10 revies are much better then 5..with 5 you can hardly know if its good to get or not. And most of the time they don't eve nreview the game right. They find one little dumb thing about a game and pick at it pick at it throught out the review. X-play is just tring to bring humor. They really suck at reviewing games.

Cheat I have seen it and its boring now. Most of the time...(well they have so many little episodes of cheat) They only talk about one game. Mostly they are "hints" not cheats.

They had another version of filter with no Diane Mizota..but it wasn't so good..they reviewd gear and stuff.. Then they brought that dog show...is it still even on?

Cinemetech is mostly about some perverted game. What happen to the good old one. Where they showed games ..like trailers and what not.

Portal was good. It was funny....well i don't see G4 No more. Spike tv has a video game shows. They are ALOT better. I think i seen some old G4 hosts there at one point. And they actually review talk and do video game stuff. Much better then G4

Before..when it just came out i use to see the show all day. It talked about video games all the time...execpt that shot..umm..with Mat And Randy...but still had things to do about video games.......umm...Diane Mizota i have seen her do other shows on different stations...she did that kids show where they renovate there camp house...I am not sure the name..comes out in discovery kids. And well G4 is for people who don't have a mind. And for perverts. And guys who can't get a girl. So they have to watch mindless tv. Might as well see MTV.

Best show is now Sasuke/Ninja Warrior.

My cable company stopped broadcasting G4 a week before the Ninja Warrior premiere.



I saw the Viking: Ultimate Obstacle Course episode where Makoto Nagano came so close to winning the Final Viking, he was literally just a few feet away from winning. The first part is a 75 foot horizontal rope scramble, then the second part is 30 feet vertical rope climb. The time limit is 1:40. It was so heartbreaking, he was losing steam right there at the button, only a couple of rope tugs away, when time ran out.

The third stage is [b]brutal[/b], Nagano was the only man to ever complete it. The Hawkeye was pretty easy, you sit and watch a quick spinning wheel with letters looking for the one number, you only have ten seconds though, but I accomplished it both times. (maybe it's different to actually be there, I don't know.) the second event is the Steady Voyage, where you have to balance a steel rod on your palm and navigate an electrified maze above you. Basically Operation x100. There are segments of the maze above that rotate, so you have to guide the pole in, and rotate with it. Yowza, like it wasn't hard enough already. The third event is the Ultimate Plank, where this MASSIVE peg hole wall spelling "VIKING" goes over the water. All you get is two little metal pegs to swing your ass over that thing. If you don't get the technique down immediately, splish. One guy only went about two pegs over before he slipped.

The final event of the 3rd stage is called The Heartbreaker. If you ever see it, you WILL shit bricks. The strength and skill this requires is unbelieveable. You have to climb an upside down stairset looking structure, 25 feet high. (really, it's climbing up a zigzaging steel beam) Going up the corners is murder, you have to dangle at the edge, then lift your entire body so that you can crunch your feet up against the bottom of the beam, allowing you to reach up further along the side to pull your weight up the beam enough to be able to use your legs again to at least semi-comfortably hold yourself on. Then after an inside curve, you have to do it again. Once you climb the second kink, you have to do the impossible. You must leap from the top section of the beam across a 7 foot chasm and grab the other side. (shaped identically like the side you're leaping from) You must get a good vault off the beam, spin 180 degrees in mid-air, catch the other side, and hold on long enough to set your feet on the beam, allowing you to pull yourself up and win the event. Wow. Makoto Nagano is a beast.

On the second stage of Viking, there's this color wheel thing where it gives you two colors and you have to say what color you get when you mix them. This one guy, I can't remember his first name, but his last name was Sato, got the colors Red and Yellow, and was confounded. It was hilarious, Dave Ryan (bowling commentary announcer) was like, "What color is it, Sato?" Then he said the word for Green, and I was like, "NOOO, IT'S ORENJI! ORENJI, YOU FOOL!!" Then the judge on site started saying something in japanese, it sounded hilarious, like he was mocking him and rubbing it in, and they dumped him on his ass into the water. PWNT.

Actually I get it at 3:30 PM and sometime around 9:00 PM and I live in Pacific time. I guess it because G4 is based in California.
