I know, they were here already, and I loved every last second of it.
Has there been any more word about them returning?

I debated whether I should post this, but...there's no real use in withholding this information.
At the Seattle show, BDMonster, AWPJudy and I were all chilling in the front right next to the stage. The Stereo Future was setting up, and Nick (the main drive for the U.S.-Japan connection) comes over to chat with us.
Goes along the lines of "hey, you guys excited to see the noodles?" "Ooh, have you guys heard the pillows' new album? Awesome, huh?!"
Then we started talking about how much it sucked that the Seattle show previously was a 21+. He said he was pretty dissappointed about that too, but there was nothing they could really do about it.
Then Nick mentioned that he'd been talking with Sawao a little bit about doing another tour over here. There weren't any concrete details, so its nothing to mark your calendar for...but he said that Sawao would be trying to fit it in somewhere between May and June.
Yeah, so that's pretty awesome.
[Sorry BD/Judy if you wanted to have this be a surprise.]

I was going to mention it earlier. Because Disco and Judy told me about it. But whatever. Sawao will probably fail. Cuz SAWAO DOES NOT FORGIVE.

I need to move to a bigger place. Probably Seattle. They flip fish there.

yea, that actually makes sense then. the my foot tour in japan ends some time in april, so i could definitly see them coming back to the US after that wraps up.
i'm just wondering if it's going to be more extensive than last year's. they should probably go abck to all the major cities they hit last year, but also hit some other venues like some big cities in the midwest and east coast

lol. i almost want to send them info on the all-ages venues that look easy to book a show at.. it doesn't seem like they seriously looked at our suggestions last year...

I'm praying that they come to Boston this time. Also, will Noodles & Stereo Future be joining them (probably)?

Noodles and Stereo Future are a wonderful compliment to the pillows and it would be good to see either or both of them come back around the next time they go stateside, but perhaps it would be a better move (publicity wise anyway?) if they took a fairly noted U.S band with them to attract people to potentially widen their fanbase-- That would in effect lead to tour stops in places smaller than the most major of cities because the proof would then be there that there were actually people in those places that wanted to see the show and were willing to pay admission for all ages shows. Good proof of this is a -lot- more high profile acts playing the University Of Illinois campus in Champaign recently, including one of the "Foozer" shows (Which was magically excellent.) and Nine Inch Nails (Also good-- Moving Units was a nice opened, I'd recommend them to anyone.). The colleges are usually glad to have them, as they get part of the revenue from hosting the event, so it could never hurt to branch out and tour a bit with a band popular with that age group over here in order to take advantage of such opportunities. (It'd be interesting if they did an outing with someone like Phantom Planet, The Secret Machines, The Von Bondies, or dare I say The Foo Fighters or Modest Mouse?) If this ever does happen, it'd be a decent idea and would likely get them -lots- of invites from all ages venues, therefore making wired_musac happy, along with the rest of us so blatantly underaged and hungry to have our faces rocked clean off. You're right, by the way, the Delicious Bump tour seemed a bit shy and reserved. Sawao did admit to being a bit nervous because of his poor english skill, didn't he? Something like that, I read someplace...But it was as if they were just poking a stick into the water to see how deep it was. Hopefully they've got something planned for a next time, if there is one.

Maybe someone like Louis XIV or Kaiser Chiefs.
It's hard for anyone to try to speak in another language. That's why I felt kinda bad for talking to Sawao like he was a kid. I know he tries real hard to understand what we say and to respond. My dad asked last time if this was Sawao's first time in America; and he said "Here until 29th". I giggled; but I still felt bad. He did smile when I told him my article was on how the pillows was the best band since the Beatles. I think he can read in English; but just can't seem to speak it well enough yet. [I know this because he read a bit of my article out loud when I gave it to him; but maybe that's because he's used to seeing "Just waiting for the Little Busters" together in one line.]
I would love to send them info on the Avalon, the Middle East, and the Paradise (sometimes they do All Ages shows).
EDIT:
Just sent an email to them linking them to the club sites. Probably Paradise might be the one they'd play at.

noodles is more likely since they're releasing their new (album?single?) at the beginning of summer.
