Yes, back onto My Foot...

I just realized that Sawao's rhythm in March of the God is amazing. Really, crank the volume, and listen to the tempo and rhythm of Sawao. Pretty cool.

I was pretty sure I heard Sawao sing "[something something] Lostman" towards the end of the title track. I was right :D

Doko ni itemo MISUKYASUTO
Hitorigoto ga fueta ROSUTOMAN
Sasowarenai no ni kotowaru SERIFU wo oboete

Some of the other English words in this seem like parts of pillows song names as well. Coincidence?

I sure wish I could join in the mass-scrutinizing of this album, but no, I pre-ordered my copy within an hour of it becoming available on CDJapan, and I still don't have it. And since tomorrow is Sunday, it won't be in then either... So I STILL haven't heard any of these bloody songs, other than the singles naturally, and well, I'm getting a bit frusterated.

poop.

Just got it today (along with AKFG's first full-lengthed LP). [I also finally found at Newbury Comics Polysics' "Hey! Bob! My Friend!" & "Neu".]

Full review sometime this coming week.

I got it a week ago, and I'm very impressed. It's my first post here, might as well be a review!

My Foot A+ ---- I love this song. I play it every morning before I go to work, very heartwarming and charming, catchy bass and guitars too.

Rock'N'Roll Sinners C+ ---- It's OK. There isn't anything here that makes you hate it, it's just not a song you think about when you think of the cd. Kinda cheesy, but it's supposed to be, so no points lost there.

The Air Lesis... I mean Resister B+ ---- Like someone else said, my first impression was that it was a filler. However, It has definitely grown on me. I find myself humming it completely out of the blue, very catchy little song.

The Third Eye A+ ---- This song kicks your ass for four minutes.

Mighty Lovers A ---- I don't see the problem you guys have with the chorus, it fits well for me. I also like the eggbeater from hell that you hear in the background, it just fits, somehow.

Nonfiction A ---- A very unusual, yet memorable song.

Degeneration C ---- meh..... It's only three minutes, but I've found myself just waiting for it to end.

March of the God A+ ---- Not above or below Thunder Whales Picnic, on the same level. There is a unique sense of emotion in this instrumental, too. A beautiful sadness, then Shin starts smacking the s**t out of the drums. As it fades, I get the visualization of the BDM walking into the distance. As it gets further and further away, the conflicting thoughts of "see you soon" and "Please don't go! Come back!" run through my head. Someone needs to make a flash animation for this song, pronto.

My Girl (document version) A ---- Another great song. The way the verses are sung is phenomenal, very sweet and endearing.

Sayonara Universe A+ ---- The strings gave me shivers, especially during the songs' climax. (Insert "I climaxed as well" joke here) Sawao's voice seemed kind of jarring the first couple of plays, but it sounds perfect now.

Gazelle City A ---- A great way to end it. Come on sunshine, let's be off. Come on sunshine, I'll walk you home. I love it.

This is how I feel; I really think My Foot is in their top five. I also happen to agree that it's the best since HB. TYMT has some great songs, like White Summer, Biscuit Hammer, Robotman, Come on, Ghost, and TYMT. On the other hand, Rookie Jet, Ritalin 202, and some others just sound mediocre to me. Just my opinion! 8)

I was at Best Buy the other day, gonna buy a memory stick for my PSP. It was Friday night, I was pretty pumped. Decided to listen to My Foot when I was looking around in the store.

And you know what? I really got into Degeneration. Really.

I mean, yeah, it's pretty Predators-simple but if you stop comparing it to PML, or the holy trio, whatever, I found that it's actually pretty damn rocking. The short solos fit well, and "DEGENERASHOONNNN. DEGENERATE. DEGENERASHOONNNN. I WILL." is also nice.

Seriously here. Same thing with Rock 'n' Roll Sinners.

Maybe I'm just a crazy fool, but allow yourself to lipsync and airguitar (downpicking, Jun style), to your hearts content in public with these two songs. They appear more awesome.
